ARTIST'S NOTES

This sword was like the second thing made after the jacket once it was decided that we were making an set rather than a single cosmetic. The idea was that the Sniper was an ex-military colonel turned adventurer (similar to Teddy Roosevelt)so this was his cavalry saber. I felt that a saber would fit the sniper yet would also be a nice contrast to his beefier machetes. (Plus the sniper has only 4 melee weapons that he can call his own that he doesn’t share with the other mercs. He’s due for another class specific melee weapon) Despite the British Colonel vibe of this set, the saber is actually based off a French WW1 cavalry saber I really liked.
