I’ve reworked all my Doppler Effect skins posted last year. I’m also sharing some new versions. They are now all PBR-validated and feature a cleaner design.



The Doppler Effect design is inspired by the Doppler effect, as its name suggests. This is the change in wavelength of waves from a moving source. The waves compress in front and stretch behind. For light, this creates a blueshift in front and a redshift behind. The design has an experimental laboratory vibe.

The "Lab" version is a monochrome proposal with a subtle pearlescent effect that enhances the waves. The choice of fluorescent orange recalls laboratory protective suits.

Doppler Effect has been completely redesigned:
- The skin is now PBR-validated, meeting Valve's requirements.
- Changed the wavy material from metallic to a glossy plastic or polyurethane finish.
- The base material remains metallic.
- Removed hand-painted text and symbols for a cleaner design.
- Added handwritten scientific elements in the alpha channel, visible as the skin wears.
- Included the "WAVY" logo along with additional details (e.g., Delta Technology, caution markings).
- Enhanced overall detail across the design.
