Description
Sunrise is back

Sunrise is the 'sun' counterpart to Moonrise. It features a rising sun set against a cityscape background. The skin is randomized, displaying either the rising sun or various other times of the day, such as dawn, night, moonlight, twilight, or golden hour.

The same skin will drop in multiple color variants, ranging from yellow and orange to red, pink, purple, blue, and more.

This new version, called "Shingetsu" (新月), offers a much more detailed revisit, using the possibilities of CS2 while staying true to the original Moonrise spirit.


What's new in this version?
  • I chose the spray-paint finish, letting me fully customize the weapon using the normal map, ambient occlusion, roughness, and metalness.
  • The city is normal mapped and now reacts to light with glowing windows.
  • The Sunrise pattern has been streamlined to display smooth color gradients. Roughness and metalness have been standardized to avoid pixelated gradients.
  • Light reflection on the weapon is now consistent thanks to the normal map.
  • The skin is PBR validated, as required by Valve.

September update
  • Update of the pattern settings: projection, durability, roughness, and metalness following the late July update.
  • Some corrections to the mask, normal, and AO.
  • Removal of Asian characters to maintain the Moonrise aesthetic.
