Description
Vanilla Vehicles Expanded - Secondary Weapons addon

Adds secondary weapons into VVE combat vehicles, and then some.
Recommended to use with Vanilla Vehicles Expanded - Upgrades for Tier 1 vehicle upgrades.

Compatible with:
Combat Extended
Vanilla Vehicles Expanded - Tier 3
VVE: Tier 3 Upgrades
[LTS]Ammunition - Simple Ammo Pack

Warning: Since a few combat vehicles now spawn with machine guns on top of their main cannon with no extra penalty, this mod may make them too unbalanced. This mod was created with other vehicle mods in mind, in which a tank comes with at least one machine gun plus its main cannon.

All Vanilla Vehicles Expanded + Tier 3 vehicles now come with basic upgrades. Original version link here.

Tier 1 (VVE:Upgrades required)
  • Roadkill and Bunsen - default with coaxial MG
  • Dinghy - various weapon options
  • Mule - bed seats default + various weapon options

Tier 2
  • Roadrunner - bed seats default + various weapon options
  • Wisent - Gun truck or self-propelled artillery conversion
  • Bulldog - default with bow and coaxial MG + pintle HMG option
  • Tango - Badger turret upgrade option
  • Trawler - default with back seats + front/rear weapon options

Tier 3
  • Badger - default with coaxial MG with no extra upgrade options
  • Cherokee - door gun options
  • Louie - door gun options
  • Marshal - default with coaxial MG
  • Nomad - roof weapon options
  • Paladin - turret replacement options, different grenade types for using without CE
  • Udar - optional bow-mounted autocannon

Mods

  • For CE, ammo types that upgrades or secondary weapons use are now in vehicle descriptions.
  • For CE with ammo disabled, vehicles in general are not compatible with it. I tried to implement a setting feature, but I couldn't get it to work at all. If I remember correctly, vehicle turrets will function but still require reloading with non-generic ammo instead of materials like steel.
  • VVE:Upgrades isn't a hard requirement, but I highly recommend it if you want to upgrade Tier 1 vehicles with new weaponry. This is to simplify compatibility.

    I do not claim ownership on any of the reused assets within this mod! One could say this mod doesn't really "add" anything new, but only uses already existing things. I originally made this mod for personal use thinking it would be rather niche, but it blew up in popularity thanks to everyone! Thank you very much for your support!

Im haveing an issue upgrading, where the pawns load the vehicals but then i cant force them to upgrade it, and its only upgrades from this mod

Any chance of Save Our Ship 2 Compatability at some point? Currently breaks the shuttles from that mod. Are we allowed to submit PRs / patches?

pretty sure the issues with the aircraft guns not working is an issue on VVEs end as their roadmap says air vehicle combat functionality is a planned feature not an existing one. could be wrong though.

Cherokee seems to not want to be upgraded (materials are but in but i cant force pawns to build)

Since You got around upgrading more tier 3's, could there be some love for the least used ones in the future?Springbook and lighting, Springbook could have a minigun ( or microgun) like the Mustang from red down (remake) and the lighting maybe something like Twisted metal/dead race forward facing hood mounted guns.
Maybe the highwayman too? It comes with "turret upgrade" already but in CE its practically only a visual upgrade, would be cool if the smoke launchers worked and maybe have a coax 14.5mm or 40mm grenades (brdm and Cadillac v150 style, i'm pretty sure those are it's inspiration for the vehícle) just brainstorning here, already love the Work you done and adore the 105mm Paladin

@050 Cherokee have the upgrade option, but no pawns do the upgrade job with enough resource and reachable path

@050 they can reach and use the vehicle. Enough recources are there too. Im pretty sure its a bug. Maybe also caused because of a mod conflict, since nobody else here is reporting the same error

Gotta mouse over "Description" in info card, since it shows "sabotage work required" instead. If for some reason that doesn't work these are the ammo types used
Tank cannon (MGS) - 105x617mmR and .50 BMG
Autocannon (Dragoon) - 30x173mm and 7.62x51mm NATO

Can the pawns reach the vehicle and have enough resources for the upgrade? Otherwise it may be a bug caused by another mod..
