there is a field in those scripts that say:
"crosshair"
{
"file" "sprites/crosshairs"
"x" "0"
"y" "48"
"width" "24"
"height" "24"
}
xy params dictate coordinates, width and height dictate the crop. changing the file param is also possible. i only recently discovered this method because i wanted to make my pistols show the ammo icon (because i made them move to the primary gun slot)
i believe in you! also, not being able to scale is sad news 😣 but its alright
And, if you want to scale the image to have a bertter clarity. I've tried it but failed.
