Building_Expansion_Mod

Description
Building Expansion Mod

Compatibility
This mod is compatible with most other mods including:
  • - Morgenröte - Dawn of Flavor

However ones that modify these features might have conflicts:
  • The vanilla construction sector
  • State traits

Overview
Construction is one of the most important aspects of Victoria 3, but the Construction Sector lacks depth, offering only wood, iron, and steel as building materials. Additionally, there is no gradual transition between construction methods.

Between 1836 and 1936, the use of aggregate materials such as stone, gravel, clay, and limestone became widespread, yet the base game does not include them. This mod introduces these materials, creating a smoother technological progression and new ways to advance construction.

Key Features
  • Adds depth without disrupting the core mechanics of the game.
  • Enhances construction progression by adding intermediate materials.
  • Improves construction efficiency by reducing reliance on wood, iron, and steel.
  • Creates new jobs with Aggregate Mines and Construction Factories.

Mod Changes
This mod does not alter the core gameplay but introduces new mechanics specific to the construction sector.

Mine Placement
Aggregate mines have been placed in historically plausible locations. Balancing may be required, and feedback is welcome.

Features

New Buildings
  • Aggregate Mine – A processing plant that crushes stone, gravel, clay, and limestone into aggregates used for construction.
  • Construction Materials Factory – Processes raw aggregate into refined building materials for more advanced construction.

New Goods
  • Aggregate – Raw materials such as stone, gravel, clay, and limestone used in the Construction Sector and Construction Materials Factory.
  • Building Materials – Refined materials that improve construction efficiency and support infrastructure development.

New Production Methods
  • Building Material Utilization – A new category of construction production methods.
  • 27 new production methods added for Aggregate Mines and Construction Factories.

New Mine Locations
  • Aggregate mines have been strategically placed across the map.
  • Some Aggregate Mine locations have been given a 25% throughput bonus through updated state traits.

New Technologies
  • Rotary Kiln Processing – Unlocks improved production of cement, lime, and aggregates.
  • Industrial Construction Methods – Increases efficiency by integrating new material processing into construction.

Final Notes
This mod is designed to improve realism and gameplay while keeping the core experience of Victoria 3 intact.

Feedback is welcome, especially regarding balancing. If you have suggestions or issues, leave a comment below

So apparently my world map doesnt have any stone mines in it, could this be because of a mod conflict or is it more likely to be a load order issue?

Mods that I think could conflict that are running:
- Consolidate subjects
- Grey's soft econ adjustments
- Power plants+
- Consolidated nations
- Open up hudson bay
- Violate sovereignity fixed
- Three brothers redux

Would you mind if I create a full "construction rework" mod, based on my private sector construction mod and containing the production method additions of your mod? I would like to add new laws for construction regulations, as I already have a system for this in my mod, and re-balance construction to be more realistic as well. I'd be happy to work on it together if you're open to that!

Hello! Is this mod still in development?

Judging by the fact that the mod conflicts with kuromi AI, is it definitely in conflict with Tech & Res?

@Tenrukou textural bug?

This mod has a textual bug, it does not compromise its use in the game, but it does hinder gameplay
