More Ritual Seats

Description
Summary
This mod aims to give ideoligions more variety and flavor by adding more ritual seats.
  • Ritual standing spots: simple spots for spectators to stand on
  • Prie-dieux: single-tile benches for pawns to kneel on
  • Box pews: two-by-two-tile pews that are enclosed by low-lying walls
  • Cushioned pews: pews with upholstery for added comfort
  • Drum stools and benches: drums and seats for the price of one!
  • Meditation stones: large smooth stones that can even be placed on shallow water
  • Slab pews: uncomfortable benches that barely pass for pews
  • Worship pits: dug open pits on the ground for ideoligions that either love dirt or really hate themselves (and yes I am aware of what that name sounds like)

It also adds building style textures for some of the ritual seats. Some modded styles are also supported.

Changelog
Full list of changes for each update can be found in the change notes. If an update bricks your save (I'm really sorry for that!), you can download a previous version with the provided GitHub link and putting it in your mod folder.
v1.2
  • Updated the mod for 1.6 (It should work, but if any errors arise, please leave a comment discussing the issue so I can fix it.)
  • Removed the "all floored" requirement for ideograms and altars. This is so worship pits can be used without the negative moodlet for having disrespected shrines.
  • Fixed bug: Some textures' orientations are not properly set up.
  • Fixed bug: Incorrect ritual seat quality is shown in the alert at the end of a ritual. (I think this is a bug with base Ideology itself.)
v1.1: Drum roll, please!
(GitHub download)[github.com]
  • New seats: ritual standing spots, drum stools and benches and meditation stones!
  • Now, random ideos generated at the start of the game prefer different ritual seats based on their memes. Guilty ideos would rather smother themselves with dirt in worship pits than enjoy the luxury of cushioned pews. Full list of supported memes (both vanilla and modded) can be found in the changelog.
  • v1.1.1: Fixed bug: Members can't build the upgrades of their ritual seats (e.g., cushioned pews for pews, drum benches for drum stools).
v1.0
(GitHub download)[github.com]
  • Initial upload to the workshop (woohoo!)
  • v1.1.0: Fixed bug: Floor designators crash the game.

Q&A
Can I add/remove this mod mid-save?
Nope, apologies for that. It's going to cause a hash collision. If you really want to add it, make a backup of your save and use Mid-Save Saver before loading with this mod. I haven't tried it myself, but there are instructions for it in the mod page.

Compatibility
Should be compatible with mods that don't touch Ideology at all, and generally with other mods that add memes and precepts. Report any incompatibilities so I can either try and fix the incompatibility or update this description.

I have no idea if it works with Combat Extended. I've yet to try CE out.

I recommend using Change Style Anytime or similar mods to easily change between styles.

Also recommended with the continued Ritual Chair mod, which allows you to use chairs, armchairs, and couches with your ideo's styles.

Credits
  • Gothic and Bloody Gothic cushioned pews are directly lifted from the pew textures from ATH's style Gothic and Bloody Gothic. I do not claim ownership of their gorgeous work.
  • Workshop preview images use modded rituals from Vanilla Ideology Expanded and Alpha Memes; modded biomes from Regrowth; and modded xenotypes from DetVisor and Vanilla Races Expanded.
  • Rimworld is owned by Ludeon Studios.

Just pushed an update that should work for 1.6! (hopefully)

@Shady... Rotated the asset properly this time

@mayonnaise... This mod now removes the "all floored" requirement for ideobuildings. I would've preferred a more elegant solution, but I found the code too troublesome for me so this should do as a quick fix.

@Corvus @Rxz I am unable to duplicate this. Are you sure your prie-dieu seats are properly rotated facing the ideobuilding? I do admit the assets are a bit bare for the prie-dieux.

Thanks for the comment. I'll look into these bugs once I get around updating this to 1.6 as well.

Yeah prie-dieus seem to not connect to the shrine for some reason just like Rxz mentioned, anyone know how to fix this?
is it just me or does the Serkist kneel sheet rotate funny? like it's always horizontal and the rotation only messes with which corner is centered.
I do have a ton of other mods and added this mid save, so there is a non zero chance it's just me.

My ideology got assigned the prie-dieu for the seats but for some reason, during rituals, it doesnt count them towards the quality. It shows as 0/8 seats, etc. Not sure if mod conflict, love the designs, hope it can work out, thanks!

@mayonnaise Whoops, that's an oversight on my part. I'll look into it.

Is there a way to make the Worship Pits work? I made a neolithic tribe, and I loved their little dirt hut with an ideogram and worship pits, but once they hit Low Expectations they wanted *flooring* in their shrine, and the pits count as unfloored.. and also can't be dug once you put flooring down.

I guess I'll just have to switch to standing spots? I really liked the aesthetic of the pits :(.

Great mod btw, love having more than 3 total choices!

@Beef Thanks for the info. I've updated the mod desc that this is unsafe to add mid-save.

@Jugger Could you send me a log of the errors?
Beef 3 Mar @ 12:05pm
@Hothrus thats probably caused by a hash collision, the mod "Even More Linkables" also has the same problem, even the mod author said that its a Core game problem.

When using v1.1 I'm getting errors whenever I start a drum party. I have none of those drum seats added in the update, but it still causes these errors and doesn't allow the ritual to progress.

The error doesn't occur with v1.0.
