This mod adds a new faction to the game – the Polans. This is a West Slavic tribe that established the first state on Polish lands in the 10th century. The name Poland/Poles originates from them.

The Polans faction is based on basic Slavic units from the vanilla game but features a very wide recruitment range for cavalry units. This is because the later Poles were known for their exceptional cavalry. For a certain period, the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth even had the best cavalry in the world (the hussars).

This is my first mod introducing a new faction to the game, so feel free to leave feedback.
