GRS Daedalus

An Elegant weapon, from a more civilized age...
GRS Daedalus is a modernized WW1 era Battleship with good armor and great guns. It also has some torpedoes for ASW and interceptors for defense. Though "Modernized" she isn't meant for a truly modern threat environment. The Armor can easily see you through an engagement and the guns will destroy anything they touch, but it has effectively zero defenses against air targets. It can easily win the slugout between Battleships but if you see anything outside of her comfort zone, let the next generation handle it.

Armament:
8 500mm APS firing every 2 seconds
10 179mm Secondaries firing every 5 seconds
18 Large torpedoes with explosive and frag warheads
12 Casemates and 6 Bofors preserved for mostly looks

Defenses:
7 layer armor belt 2 metal beams 2 metal beam slopes 2 alloy beams and 2 heavy armor beams, not in that order.
Lots of compartments to maintain redundancy 2 AIs 2 Engines, Etc
Lots of missile and torpedo interceptors

GRS Daedalus Was A Battleship laid down at General Joseph's request when it became obvious 2 criminals exiled from the nation would soon lead a brief conflict now known as the Rebel War. In Her hayday she was the largest, fastest, and best armed and armored Battleship on the planet. Though she was not completed by the end of the Rebel War, Her massive 500mm guns had incredible range and power. Completion of said gun turrets was fast tracked so that the vessel could be used as an intimidation factor in propaganda. The Rebel war began when the 2 criminals took over a fortress from colonial times less than a kilometer from the city of Greatwood. They launched terrorist attacks on the city and though they were quickly stopped by the army, they caused severe damage to a historical clock tower. To end the war as quickly as possible, it was decided that GRS Daedalus would preform what is still the longest shore bombardment in history from its slipway in an archipelago known as the Deltorian Isles. The Rebels Immediately surrendered upon hearing this and they were allowed to by the Republic government, but both to make an example of the situation and because the man the fort was named after was a Christopher Columbus kind of evil, the strike was preformed after the fort was evacuated. the nearly 70 kilometer salvo was incredibly accurate and nigh instantly destroyed Fort Lopez. The ship then enjoyed a long and peaceful 102 year service life, undergoing many modernization and repairs to the point where it could be more accurately called GRS Theseus. The version you see today is her configuration during her final voyage in 2014. She is now on display as a museum in Greatwood, though she could still likely defend the city today if the need arises.
