Mothman

Description
Character for the M4 jam, under the theme Fearful Folklore.
Design and coding by FatYoshi, spriting by Sean.

Special thanks to Somb (mrmcmantis) and Real for playtesting and feedback.

Moveset breakdown:

Mothman's main mechanic is the Rot status, the numbers that appear above him and his opponent. For every stack of Rot, the character's frame advantage on both hit and block is reduced, maxing out at 3 stacks. Additionally, the majority of Mothman's moves interact with his or his opponent's Rot in various ways.
Mothman can build Rot on himself by using Decay or Wings of Desolation, and transfer it to the opponent on hit or block using his normals with green corners. The opponent can also reduce their Rot by parrying or connecting attacks on hit or block.

The way each of the specials and supers interact with rot is as follows:
- Kiss of Death: On hit, maxes out the opponent's rot.
- Paralyze: On hit, consumes all of the opponent's rot for a stun that lasts a number of turns equal to the amount of rot they had.
- Shriek: If the opponent has at least one stack of Rot, gains a hit of armor.
- Darkness Dive: On hit, consumes all of the opponent's Rot, and drags them a longer distance and does more damage the more Rot they had.
- Multiplication/Ravage: shot moths apply one stack of Rot on block. Hitting a free moth will instead cause it to pop, applying Rot to any nearby player.
- Regeneration: heals 1 Rot at the cost of 1 bar.
- Stalk: Recovers more quickly the more Rot the opponent has.
- Intoxicate: consumes all of Mothman's Rot to spawn a cloud, which sticks to the opponent on contact and debuffs them, causing any attack they block or get hit by to increase their Rot. The cloud stays out longer the more Rot was spent to create it.
- Rebirth: On hit, Mothman melts, clearing all his Rot and doing a massive attack, whose damage is proportional to the amount of Rot he had. Additionally, it gains invulnerability on startup if used with at least 2 Rot.

Mothman also gains a passive 5% damage boost for each stack of Rot on the opponent.

(Ps, note by Sean, theres an alternate animation for one of the moves, go ahead and find it :)

yes it always has, a movement option that goes that far that fast would be busted if it didn't cost anything

has wings of desolation always added a stack of decay?

current issue regarding a weird bug where Mothman can use the fly UI even during hitstun, if the player clicks fast enough at the start of a turn. It's very strange
