Hand talon, knee spike and flesh whip don't follow the AP from damage curve.
But also, you've selected only longsword. Whats better than giving them spears is giving them guns. Comparing spear and longsword for a weak melee pawn is like two homeless guys competing who's richer when they both have cents. And the danger of impid spearmen even in vanilla are not really most dangerous for their spears but rather they position themselves to spit fire.
Meaning that the spear will at least be able to somewhat reliably deliver the low damage it will have on a weak melee pawn.
