I think the effect you are seeing on ninja is his momentum thingy

(sorry for the late response)
i did play the mod
i tested with a bunch of different styles, and the color was always yellow
if the color does depends on style (i checked the code of the mod, and it clearly chouls), then this is a mod conflict issue on my side
