Report a translation problem
It's because of a few reasons:
1) The AK-47's wooden furnished, simple design as well as being earlier IRL ('47 rather than the Assault Rifle's '59) helps make it fit for being slightly earlier in the tech tree (Precision Rifling instead of Specialised Firearms)
2) The AK-47 fires 7.62x39mm, which is larger than the M16's 5.56 and smaller than the Scar-H (battle rifle)'s 7.62x51mm. This makes the damage line up to that better.
3) The Hellcat Rifle from Anomaly is based on a similar Kalashnikov and has very similar stats to the Assault Rifle, so it helps with consistency.
4) If you don't like the mod, you don't have to install it. Noone is forcing you to install my shitty mods.
