Sephiroth, the One-Winged Angel

Destiny comes. Adds Sephiroth, the One-Winged Angel, into the world of DST. He is a selfish fighter that comes equipped with numerous items and abilities give himself powerful combat potential.

Comes with a unique voice (a string synth), 3 character skins, 5 new weapons, a custom stat meter that gives him access multiple abilities, 5000+ lines of dialogue, and more!

This is the companion mod to my previous FF7 character, Cloud Strife!



Health: 175 | Hunger: 150 | Sanity: 150
1x-1.3x attack multiplier | 1.15x-1.6x damage reduction | 1x-1.1x walk speed

• Part of the Jenova Project: Takes 15% less damage, and gains and loses 50% less sanity from all sources.
  
• Wielder of the Masamune: Deals 25% less damage and is 25% less efficient with weapons other than his own.
  
• Lifestream Traveler: Can haunt mako shards to revive, and can use magic attacks without equipping or slotting materia.
  
• Can Ascend to New Levels: Has a custom stat meter, the Limit Break gauge, as well as a unique transformation that augments his stats and abilities.

"Shall I give you despair?"

When Sephiroth is in danger (below 50% health) he grows a singular wing and gains increased stats and new abilities.

• +30% damage multiplier, +60% damage reduction, and +10% speed
  
• Ignores all terrain hazards (fire, sinkholes, etc)
  
• Cannot gain any sanity, cannot wear torso equipment

If you've played as Cloud Strife, you're already familiar with Limit Breaks. They are powerful attacks in combat unlocked by attacking, getting attacked, or countering.

Unlike Cloud, Sephiroth does not gain any increased stats at 100% Limit. However, his gauge also does not drain out of combat by default, and his Limit Breaks are stronger while transformed.

Sephiroth has 2 different Limit Breaks tied to his unique weapons: Octaslash and Meteor. They each have a different amount of hits, range, and AOE vs single target capabilities, so carefully choose the right one for each situation!



“A gift from the planet.”

Materia (Unslotted) Stats:

• Deals/heals 20 damage, 25 durability
  
• Drains 1 sanity per use (half this amount if playing as Sephiroth!)
  
• Elemental ability activates every 5 hits

Sephiroth's Materia functions similarily to Cloud's: they can be equipped like a normal weapon, but are primarily intended to be slotted into Sephiroth's sword. This transfers their elemental ability onto said weapon, improves their stats, and negates sanity loss.

Materia's secondary purpose is to infuse their element into Sephiroth, allowing him to use each respective Materia's magical ability without having them equipped. If no element is infused, Sephiroth can instead use a nonelemental attack that deals slightly less damage.

Sephiroth's Magic Attacks:

• Deals 20 damage (non-elemental) or 30 damage (elemental)
  
• Drains 5 sanity per use
  
• Elemental ability activates every hit

"There is no sword that compares to it."

Sephiroth's character-specific weapon and starting item.

• 51 damage, 120 Durability
  
• Slotted Materia activates every 5 hits
  
• Attacks slightly faster and has longer range than normal weapons
  
• Can be upgraded 2 times, improving its damage, durability, and Materia activation amount

While the Masamune is equipped, Sephiroth can use Scintilla, entering a blocking stance for 1.5 seconds and automatically countering anything that attacks him. If no attack is successfully countered, he will instead attack anything within range for reduced damage.

Sephiroth's Masamune is unbreakable, but becomes unusable or downgrades into previous versions at 0% durability. It can be repaired by giving it Mako Shards.


"Allow me to claim my birthright."

A special materia that can only be used by Sephiroth and cannot be infused or slotted. Equipping it gives Sephiroth access to the ability Shadow Flare.

• 50 durability, 5 sanity per use
  
• Summons 5 dark energy orbs that hone in on target
  
• Deals 40 physical damage/5 planar damage

Sephiroth has 3 character skins accessed by using [API] Modded Skins! Sephiroth is still playable without this mod enabled, but none of his skins will be available.
Sephiroth is also compatible with [API] Mods In Menu.
Bugfixes! I've tried my best to bugfix before release, but I am only one person and may have missed a few things. If you notice anything not working as intended, please report it in the BUG REPORTS/KNOWN BUGS discussion.

Balancing Adjustments! I am admittedly not the best at balancing things, so I am open to feedback on ways he may be tweaked. I am not planning on making any major changes to this mod, but damage values, crafting recipes, and other stats are fair game. Please leave feedback in the SUGGESTIONS discussion.
