I’m writing this in early access, so I expect things to change frequently, this is a work in progress.

I spent one skill point to increase my inventory by one slot. I got the radio for fast transit back to Rost, the fish hook, bait of some sort, electric drill, fish farm engine, feeder rotor.

Used one skill point (increase inventory) to have engine and rotor in the inventory. No skill points have been spent on the ‘Electrician’ skills, but that might have to change in the future.

Go to the fish farm and click on the engine. If a message pops up that the engine has to be replaced, open your inventory, click on the engine and then ‘Use’ it.
Otherwise unscrew the lid, open the lid and turn the connectors until they spark - they should be oriented like this: | / / (I apologize for the poor schematic, next thing to learn is how to take a screen shot).

Then close the lid, screw it shut and don’t forget to turn on the engine.

The rotor is placed at the left side of the feeder, unscrew the lid, remove the rotor and clean or replace it, the game will prompt you.

Use ‘E’ on the net several times until it is fixed. If the net is dragging in the water, go around the farm and find 3 colored ropes, use ‘E’ on each of the ropes to tighten them. At last check the console if the net has been successfully repaired.
Even if there is no failure, whenever you deliver food or do something unrelated, you may want to run around then farm and just check and tighten the net if necessary. That might mitigate losses later on.
