Description
The KR-171 was a project to test the feasibility of vanilla large scale flying boats. Additionally, this plane is solely powered by four mechanical engines kindly provided by Elliot — really good engines!
This airplane features variable pitch propellors. This means you can in- or decrease the pitch of the propellors, limiting or even reversing thrust produced. Propellors start out at 45° (ideal for take-off) but can be adjusted to 75° (ideal for topspeed) and -20° (reverse thrust). The cockpit features an indicator of the prop pitch.
