Isabelle, the Bunny [RoG + Vanilla]

Description
Ever wanted to be a Bunny Girl in Don't Starve? No? Well, too bad! Introducing Isabelle, the Bunny!

-=Background=-
Isabelle Willid Flament was once a normal young girl, born to a rich upper class family. She did well in school, always sheltered from the outside, always content with what she had. However, she had a rather crippling flaw: she was a rotten gambler.

Time and time again Isabelle would squander her money for the rush of chance, and always have to return to her parents for financial help. Fortunately for her, they were always there when she needed them...

Until they weren't.

Isabelle soon found herself in a whirlwind of consequence and debt. She took at a job at a local Gentleman's Club to help pay off the expense of the Funeral, earning barely enough to scrape by. Soon, however, the price grew too steep, and she sought help from a shady, tall loanshark with a cheshire smile. It seemed simple enough: exchange items she didn't need for cash she needed now.

It was simple enough, at first: a few earings, spare jewelry she didn't have time to wear with her busy work schedule. Soon, the amount of things she could sell shrank. She had to pawn of some of her mother and father's heirlooms and antiques, but it was never enough. Eventually, she even had to sell her company ribbon.

Broke, penniless, and overworked, Isabelle was on the verge of despair. However, the loanshark offered her one last roll of the dice...

Isabelle could never say no to that.

-=Information=-
Isabelle's core gameplay focuses on the collection of spare change and tips to get back some of her lost mementos. She can counterf- erm, craft Spare Change easy enough: 1 gold nugget and 1 flint, no questions asked. Tips, though, are a bit trickier. Tips have a chance to randomly drop from specific mobs ( more on that later ). The chance is about 4-7%, depending on what you're killing. After gathering 10 Spare Change and 10 Tips, you can craft a Savings Jar. The Savings Jar is a symbolic item that can be used at a magic station to acquire one of her lost mementos: Mother's Spectacles, Father's Cane, or Isabelle's Ribbon.

Each Memento has common applications: all of them restore sanity equal to a Dapper Vest when worn, and all have a durability of 10 days when worn. None of the mementos can be repaired. Isabelle's Ribbon is a chest item that functions as a sort of armor, absorbing 0.7x damage taken. The ribbon has infinite durability, aside from its 10 day clock. Father's Cane is similar to the Walking Cane, providing a 1.25x speed boost. However, it cannot be used as a weapon. Finally, Mother's Spectacles allow you to craft Science-Machine level items when worn.

Aside from her feverent case of plutomania, Isabelle has a few other things to note. In particular, all of her stats are terrible, sitting at 100 Health, 150 Hunger, and 125 sanity. Too many long hours working without break ( completely by choice, mind you ) has left her exhausted. She also has a fast metabolism, draining her hunger at a rate 1.25x faster than normal. However, she refuses to sleep, as an hour slept is an hour without pay. Due to her outfit, she also takes 10% additional damage and has -20 insulation to changes in temperature. Finally, due to her sheltered life as a child, she hits like a wet noodle ( 0.8x damage) and can't stand the bumps in the night...and those who lurk in it.

It's not all terrible, though. I mean, it is, but it's not all bad. Isabelle's stupid outfit, while completely illsuited for anywhere outside a Club or Casino, at least makes her look like a rabbit. As such, the stupid lapin brains of bunnies don't register her as a threat, allowing her to get nice and close to them...until she stabs them with a stick. This also extends to Gobblers and the majestic Koalafant. In addition, waiting tables and rushing about on the job leaves her quick on her feet, offering her 1.15x movespeed. Due to her finanical troubles, she also has to scrape by on less than savory food, taking reduced penalty from stale and spoiled food. Her attack speed is also marginally faster, but not by much.

-=Color Options!=-
When you go to enable Isabelle, you can pick her color in the configuration option. Colors include:
►Traditional Blue: Isabelle's favorite color amongst her demeaning position. She will default to wearing it, unless told to wear a different color by her supervisors.

►Alluring Red: Scarlet like love. Vermillion like a warm kiss. Crimson like Isabelle's inevitably spilled blood.

►Classical Black: The original color of the Bunny Suit. A soft, velvety black, for the default mind-set. Meshes well with nightmares eating your torso.

►Eccentric Purple: Why go with some BORING color, when you can be an interesting, and 20% more obvious, purple!
No matter what color you pick, however, Isabelle's portrait, select screen, saveslot, and mini-map icon will always be blue. It only affects her in-game model.

-=FAQ=-
1. Is this mod compatible with Don't Starve, Reign of Giants, and Shipwrecked?
Yes, this mod works with Don't Starve and Reign of Giants. However, I am unable to confirm if it functions with Shipwrecked [hint: Probably not.]

2. Why?
It seemed funny and it's really a inside joke between my friends. If you don't like the mod, feel free to ignore it.

3. Can I use Isabelle's code assets for my own mod?
Sure. Knowledge is like fire: it can be spread without diminishing. However, do not use her art without premission.

4. Will you port this to Don't Starve Together?
When I have time to decipher the monumental task of porting something to DST, Isabelle is rather high on the priority list.

Hm. I haven't touched Don't Starve in around 3 years, so I don't know what the problem would be or how to even approach fixing it.

Crashes game when trying to Enable and Disables all other mods. Even on it's own and when you have to close the game to reopen it, it's not even Enabled.

I didn't think it was that much more miserable than any of the other character's backstories, but thanks for the positive feedback!

The character design is good, the background story is too miserable, so miserable that I can't bear to play.

I really don't "get" what you're jabbing at, Twuster. I mean, If you're going to be like the other 10-20ish people who complain about objectification or whatever on a mod that's not meant to be explicably sexualized, outside of the concept atleast, in any way, then go ahead.

I mean, if you want some elaborate story behind her inception, I just thought it was a silly idea, and there was no DS mod that went with it, so I thought to do it for fun.

Waitress, I need my fill of wannabe playboy.
Either that or it's the sample picture of "Hello, Nurse!" on TV Tropes again.
