NExt2 Inspired Pedestrian Promenade

Depends on the type of road you want to create. I sorta muddled through and taught myself blender and gimp. Road assets are not really that different from a building asset, other than you have 5 states. Basic (On Ground) Elevated, Bridge, Slope, and Tunnel. All 5 need their own meshes and textures, they also come in 2 parts, a segment, and a node. The nodes MUST have a spine. (a series of verticies that go down the centre of the node) so the mesh can be split to line up with other roads. Your dimensions have to be exact for your meshes so that curbs properly line up with other road types, not just your own road. Your textures consist of 5 files. Your diffuse texture (main texture) Alpha map (what is visible or not), Normal map (fine ridges and bumps), Road map (degree that the road is default or your texture color), and Pavement map (identifying what is sidewalk and what is road for the road texture.). After that, it's a matter of placing your props, (lights, trees, etc)

Any tutorials out there on how to create custom roads? I know how to create custom building assets, but roads are uncharted territory for me.

I create all of my road meshes and textures by hand.

how did you make it? did you use the road builder Mod, and if so, how? I ask cause I want to make a promenade that has dedicated bike lanes, dedicated Tram + Bus Combo Lanes, and a stop lane for the Tram + Bus Combo (so that a tram that is more express doesn't have to stop for a bus at every bus stop)

If I can find some base-game or after dark or plazas and promenades props for planters, I can look into it. I just don't want to have to require additional downloads.
