Description
Dynasty Mk II 'Backfire' - Destroyer class

Watch the Space Engineers film 'Backfire' here.

Lore

After much success with the Dynasty class of Destroyers, LKF command decided to make some upgrades and improvements to the ship. Mainly shifting it's role and focus towards anti-capital weaponry.

Frigates and Cruisers take a long time to construct, repair and maintain. A smaller ship with a heavy weapons payload was much more attractive in the short-term to employ against the large REC ships LKF forces were regularly encountering.

The first of these vessels commissioned was Captained by Stefan, leading battlegroup Fortitude. The ship was christened 'Backfire' and would go onto become a symbol of strength and resilience among LKF forces.

Backfire was present at several pivotal conflicts, including the first attack on Terra, the battle of outpost R-68 and played a critical role in the Stand for [REDACTED].

Description

The Dynasty Mk II is a destroyer designed to perform hit and run missions, no stay in prolonged CQC. It features mostly light armour across it's hull and uses hydrogen thrusters to get around.

It's armed with Artillery and Assault cannon turrets, for engaging larger vessels at a distance. It has dual fixed forward artillery guns, four rocket pods behind blast doors, and a railgun.

She features no assembler or refinery capabilities and is designed to operate as part of a fleet, or a small battlegroup lead.

I have discovered that I am hopeless at printing anything with sub-grids and you never seem to list if you blueprints have them or not. Would appreciate a heads up in the description. Absolutely love your YT vids, learned a LOT from them including about printing sub-gridded (is that a word?) stuff but hate messing with them. Too old for complications lol. Keep up the excellent work in both vids and blueprints!!

Hi Lunar. A question about your ships and DLCs.

Do you use DLC items for anything essential? I like your ships but not shilling out 30ish dollars for the DLCs. And ill be happy to sacrifice a bit of decoration for not paying for the DLCs.

Thanks. -Celtner
