=== Introduction ===

EvoClash is an original pvp card-/ boardgame with a focus on evolving Monsters strategically to gain the advantage in combat.

At the start of every game each player chooses 3 different "Bronze Tier" Monsters which they may, after collecting enough ressources, evolve along a complex evolution tree.

The goal of the game is to best your foes in combat by using items, buffing Monsters, and utilizing their unique abilities to the fullest.



=== Monsters ===

There are 7 different Monster archetypes as of now (8 planned)

-Fish
-Pig
-Rat
-Goblin
-Skeleton
-Robot
-Spirit
-Imp (WIP)


Each starting off as a weak Bronze Tier Monster, but evolving into more powerful Monsters as the game progresses:

And with each evolution tree containing 9 to 10 Monsters the player has a lot of strategic choices they can make.

Totaling to 66 (planned 75) Monsters with unique Abilities and 28 (planned 35) Items to mix and match so you can find your own strategy.

No information is hidden so the only thing your opponent can't see is your strategy! So keep it hidden for as long as possible.



=== Gameplay ===

The game starts by each player choosing their Monsters, each Monster has an assigned biome, so the chosen Monsters directly correlate to how the map is going to look. Each biome also has different effects, events and items that appear in them, creating many layers of strategy, even before the game starts. Next you will begin gathering resources and anticipating your opponents strategy and adapting your own to fit, while occasionally battling each other until a winner is determined.

=== COMBAT ===

Inspired by classic trading card games, this system puts you in command of three Monsters — each with unique abilities, ATK power, and HP. With many Items every fight can have many possible strategies.
Turn order is decided by a coin flip so make sure your strategy can handle variability and manage your Monster to attack and use their abilities in the best possible moment. Use ailments to change any situation and try to predict how your opponent will react.

Playtime varies greatly with player amount and map size:
average playtime: 90 Min per game (2 player)
