Eastern Roman Empire - Elite Foederati Units Pack

Description
Elite Foederati Units Pack for the Eastern Roman Empire

The Eastern Roman Empire's military evolved as the Western Roman Empire's military waned in the 5th century. Nonetheless, it continued to rely on foederati troops from the Goth, Arabs, and Slavs just like the Western Roman Empire.

Vanilla Attila Total War only allows players to levy basic, mostly Tier I, units from the passing hordes. They also lack variety and effectiveness mid- to late-game.

This mod adds the following 20 units from the Gothic factions (the Franks, the Visigoth, the Ostrogoth, the Burgundians, and the Alans) and a few from Eastern Desert factions (Armenia, Ghassanids) and the Western Roman Empire.

Most of these units were selected for their effectiveness against the Huns. Otherwise, they improve the ERE's mid- to late-game roster even further.

Units List
1. Hunnic Nokkors (Huns)
2. Kurdish Archers (Sassanids)
3. Sarmatian Cataphract Archers (Alans)
4. Alani Cavalry Warrior (Alans)
5. Spet Xyon (White Huns)
6. Armoured Indian Elephants (Sassanids)
7. Germanic Warband (Gothic factions)
8. Elite Germanic Archers (Gothic factions)
9. Elite Agathyrsi Warriors (Alans)
10. Armenian Slingers (Sassanids)
11. Elite Sarmatian Cataphracts (Alans)
12. Thracian Oathsworn (Ostrogoth)
13. Royal Lancers (Burgundians)
14. Sarmatian Cataphract Lancers (Alans)
15. Elite Agathyrsi Cavalry (Alans)
16. Gothic Warband (Gothic factions)
17. Elite Palatina (WRE)
18. Grey Hairs (Alans)
19. Royal Huscarls (Geats)
20. Slavic Hunters (Anteans) -ahem- poison arrows slow down the Huns, by, A LOT.

All of them are recruitable from your corresponding Infantry, Cavalry, Skirmisher barracks, mostly from Level 3 to Level 4 buildings, but a few are recruitable from Level 1 and Level 2 (such as Germanic Warband and Gothic Warband). They can also be played in Custom Battles as the ERE.

Check out my WRE foederati pack as well, both can be used at the same time

Compatible with all mods (unless the other mods remove these units, or the ERE, from the game).

Let me know if there are any bugs or issues.

@Steelcan I think some units might not show up. Vanilla units should show up

If I used this mod without one of the DLCs would those units be unavailable or would the whole thing not work?

@Mingles Have you tried using a vanilla 2x Unit Mod which should affect this mod as well. This mod is not a custom unit mod. These are all vanilla units.

I only changed the faction unique roster for these units and added them to the ERE roster. So in theory, 2x unit mod should affect all units in this pack if their barbarian/eastern faction counterparts see unit increases.

I typically don't mess with unit sizes because Attila already had pretty optimization and not everyone's PCs can handle increased unit sizes in battles.

is there a 2x unit size for this? if not could you please do one, so many great unit packs but i cannot play at 160 infantry 80 unit for cavalry, the gods of war demand greater slaughter! or something like that, i just like bigger units, if this is something you could I would be forever grateful! I work way too much to learn to do this myself sorry (before anyone gets tempted to tell me to do it myself)

Mod updated: replaced Kushite Mounted Shotelai with Hunnic Nokkors for your punitive expeditions into barbarian territory to raze their settlements, or you just want to collect scalps of their light ranged units and sword units.

This one works

Mod updated: The Last Roman units removed (Veterans, Spear Veterans) as some users reported not having the DLC, added Sarmatian Cataphract Lancers, Alani Cavalry Warriors, and Spet Xyon.
