“Let the ruling classes tremble at a Communistic revolution. The proletarians have nothing to lose but their chains. They have a world to win. Workingmen of all countries unite!"

Simple mod that just makes the event option "The world will be free, one day" give 3 socialist unrest per month instead of only 0.5. As well as increasing the trigger requirement of this option to have a powerful and/or in-government socialist interest group, instead of only in-government

The "Oppressor and Oppressed" event triggers on socialism researched and starts 'The Spectre Haunting the World' journal, which determines if communist ideologies becomes popular in your country or not.

The problem that this mod addresses is that you often need to cheese the journal to spread the revolution. Causing radicals isn't a big deal, but if you did not plan in advance by decreasing your home affairs and police institutions, it can be quite awkward to get the socialist unrest needed within the 35 months.

+3 monthly socialist unrest will make it simpler for you to work toward the desired outcome of the journal, but it does not trivialise it, as seen in the banner image where 3 is still not enough due to institutions and loyalists.

Of course if you don't want to encourage communism, simply select the other event option.

Consider also using 'Mixed Economy' for a more sensible Council Republic and Worker Cooperative relationship.

Compatibility:
Overwrites event communism.10 - will be fine with 99.9% of mods.

What requirements are there for the event and journal entry other than researching Socialism? I still haven't gotten it...

This mod doesn't change the journal, read the description.

Anyway I've updated the mod in line with vanilla removing the event setting a variable for the communism journal.

Nevloz the event option "A world will be free one day" has conditions for it to be available and the 2nd screenshot will tell you you need a socialist/communist/vanguard/anarchist IG that is either in government or powerful (>=20% clout).

The event option having a requirement is a vanilla thing (though vanilla does not tell you it is conditional, like this mod does) and this mod has made it a bit less strict (vanilla requires both powerful and in government).

I like that you have to need to make some effort to boost communism in your country to get this instead of letting this event entirely carry you.

@01A3-91C-2789B11F I havent had a look at their files, but reading the description and the fact that this mod only overwrites 1 event, id say yes its compatible
