Bridge variety pack

EDIT February 18, 2025. Updated to include side covers for switches built on bridges, to hide extensions of bridge railings continuing into branching tracks.

EDIT Oct 13, 2024. Two types of trusses have been added, with 90 degree crossbars and without those. Also included is the end section of the truss, with slanted surfaces. This can be combined with trusses for more realistic bridge depiction. To combine, after picking the track, use Start and End fields of the truss building properties. If the bridge is single section, for the truss set Start=0.05, End=0.95. You will need two end sections. One can have Start=0.95, End=1.00. The other can have Start=0.05, End=0.00. (Start should be the part adjacent to the truss itself). Adjust these values as desired.

Each of the above is included in two version, optimized for a single track bridge (5.7 meter width) and for double track bridge (9.6 meter width).

In addition, for previously included colored bridge side elements (red, green, blue), noise has been removed. With the required small texture size, noise did not look well when zoomed in, creating unsharp image instead of feel of wear and tear.


ORIGINAL. This pack includes several elements useful in creating more interesting bridges.

Included are

1. a bridge steel through girder brace - these are narrowings in the trackway you often see on the sides of railroads on bridges. It is one sided, so you typically want to attach one to each side of the railroad.

2. bridge support with colored sides - there are three color versions - green, red and blue

3. bridge railings for railway bridges - three versions

4. bridge railings for road bridges - two versions

You can always colorize any of my objects, but it's probably not a great idea here, because this will also color the hard surface (asphalt or concrete).
