Parasite Ship [Leptani-Class]

When larger ships began to appear near the Ixod System, the Ixodae Pirates knew they needed a better ship to supplement the decades-old Acari Parasite. To this end, the Leptani-class was engineered. Twice the length of the Acari, with four times the engines, the Leptani is capable of chasing down and capturing much larger vessels.

The Leptani, like the Acari, is designed to approach the target ship under a hail of gunfire, and latch onto the hull with massive mechanical claws and landing gears. Once the Leptani has attached itself, it is able to deploy both large and small claws to tear into the enemy hull. A new innovation, the Leptani is also able to extend the larger claws, allowing it to take on ships much larger than itself. Once the ship is captured, the commander of the Acari can then decide what to do next. Give it a try!

The latest tech has also been used to upgrade the ship in other ways- the large aft section contains an extendable hull grinder to deploy a boarding party, and deployed from the sides are connectors for trasferring equipment and fuel to and from the main base.


I hope you download and enjoy my ship. There is a big grey ship already in the world (that I built previously), and random vessels will also fly through for you to test the Leptani's claws for as long as you wish. Just press reverse in the control panel to raise, lower, and extend the claws (or use the hotbar). I have used no mods.
