Just More Camera Angle

Description
Might only Work in game version v1.0.2
Will probably not work with other mods that change Map/Camera/Fonts

This will not work with other maps that have Camera presets but I added a HOW TO text file on how to do it for advanced users

Some one with more coding knowledgeable could foreseeably make a program/Script to auto replace/change the values
or even an in-game menu, easier said then done I think haha, but for now this is the best I can do/all there is :]

What does it do?
  • All Camera Zooms, both Galaxy and System view have essentially an unlocked Camera angle now.

  • When a object is selected you are able to zoom in a bit more. HOLD Right click while zooming to get smaller zoom steps(original game feature)

  • You are also now able to zoom out more in Galaxy view and I increased how far the Camera can pan so now you can see those lone systems just out of view (I set a upper limit, or you would get lost in the nothingness :>)

  • added a Bold to the Text to be more easy to read, No longer will it look like "Larth", I just increased font size by 2 (not that many fonts to pick from :})

  • Moved the Console to the side a tiny bit, the ui was ever so slightly covering it (why not)
Only tested on FED but should work for every one

Side notes
  1. If the zoom gets weird just double tab 'M' to 'reset' the Camera

  2. The 2nd zoom level in Galaxy view still has a min angle setting, due to how the game remembers the camera state (it would keep putting the camera parallel with the Galaxy and was tedious to keep moving up)

Almost the same as this mod https://steamproxy.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3055050432 , but this time doesn't change the Galaxy/map

I made sure there was no errors - No known issues.
Enjoy :)

Disclaimer: I am in no means that knowledgeable in coding, I'm just a tinkerer :}

We're now at Version 1.0.6

Mods like this are out of date, and a Yellow Marker that looks like this ⚠️ shows up indicating an "⚠️Incorrect Version"

Do what Mod Authors should've done.

Go to were the Mods are installed. Typically in Documents>Paradox Interactive>Infinite>mod

Look for the last 4 digits of said Mod (it's easier this way).
Right Click it.
Open it with Notepad.
Change the Supported Version# to 1.0.* - the (*) means this Mod will support all 1.0.0 through 1.0.9 versions until we get to 1.2.0.

Once you've done this, save it. Overwrite if asked.
Now Right Click on the Mod again.
Select Properties.
Select Read Only on the bottom.
Click OK. The will stop Paradox from overwriting your input. :Christmashatcat::hammerscrew:

After some time, I got this to work. I placed it below the No Orbital Lines Mod, and it seems that was the key. I tried reloading a new save, and it works.

Main responds
And that's understandable, I was trying to get it to work as I wanted it to and be compatible with basically all mods, at the core its a pretty simple mod, I tried but couldn't find a way to do it.

The 'base values' for the camera I can change with out effecting the map, but for some reason the map file also has camera settings in it and they 'both' have to be changed.

In this version of the mod, as noted above for advanced users, I added a How To text file with in the mod file explaining how to do it on any map and keep it compatible, working with other maps/mods
(map isn't modded in this mod, only camera values in the map file are)

Extra Info
At the time I made this mod(might still be true), mods for the game would take the whole place of the original files, so a mod would be the custom value's plus all the original data,

(for me?) Mods are not additive (as I'm calling it, don't know what the term actually is) for this game, additive would be something like, changing 1 value in a file and not needed the rest of the data. so 'right now' 2 mods that change the same file but different parts of the same file probably cant work together.

I had a peak at how others are doing their mods, and it seems to have similar structure, some are doing new custom files that I'm not familiar with doing.
(haven't tested how mods work for the game since 5 Nov, might work different now, ill have to look into it)

or I'm doing something wrong, as I'm still learning, I might of missed something or there is a different way to do what I'm doing.

Thank you, and sorry it doesn't work with other mods.
