Dynamic Body Shape

Description
Dynamic Body Shape
WARNING: THIS MOD REQUIRES JAVA MODDING (check instructions below)

Your body is a temple. However, if you don't care for it properly it could have dire consequences.
Sadly, the base game doesn't reflect your condition, and this mod fixes that.

You'll be able to see 5 different physique levels: Emmanciated, Underweight, Default, Fat and Obese, which reflect your character condition dynamically.
You'll also have more muscles based on your character strength and fitness level (while they are Default).

Currently, it seems to be only working correctly on SP, but I will try to work towards making it MP compatible (all players that log into the server will have to install the Java files though, so be careful).

Check out my other work

Voiced Radios & TVs: https://steamproxy.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2950750587&tscn=1697826142
(I need help of people willing to voice act, check it out for more info)

HOW TO INSTALL

You'll need to open 2 folders: Your project zomboid base game folder, and the workshop mod folder.
Copy the entire zombie folder to the base game folder.

You can also get the zombie folder here:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1cwZGyRSMJqPwv_7wXRu99jDh9l9ateox/view?usp=sharing
or
https://mega.nz/file/b3YgVQ4C#AitFlVG-_hyA2jrYg-pVrQaPrG5knHwSjasJujstbuE

You need to make sure the mod is enabled FROM THE MAIN MENU, otherwise the skinning data will not load correctly.
If your player skinning data is broken, go to the main menu, make sure Dynamic Body Shape is enabled, and restart the game. It should work correctly after that.
(this is because the player mesh models aren't loaded correctly by the game :P, if you write reloadModelsMatching("MaleBody") in the console, you'll realise what I mean)

That's it. I'll leave an instructive video showing the process.

HOW TO UNINSTALL

I made the java modification as unintrusive as possible, but if you want to uninstall the mod for some reason:
Deactivate the mod from the game, then on steam library right click PZ, go to properties, Installed Files and verify integrity of game files.

COMPATIBILITY

The mod is incompatible with any mod that changes the player model mesh (not textures, just 3D models) (the character rigging would most likely break).

The mod is compatible with clothing mods. However, it is extremely likely that the clothing will clip for Fat and Obese models.
To fix this, it would require an addon for specific clothing mods. It only requires a copy of the clothing Items, with and _Fat and _Obese at the end of the TypeName.

I know that Small Town First Responders ( https://steamproxy.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2623855083 ) added support, for instance.

Works with:
+ Simple Character Retexture , By Hea

~ Rae's Body Mod (the fat and obese model's work, but the muscular seem to not work, will investigate further)

Does not work with:
- Ellies's Hands and Feet Mod
(thx Merlin for checking it out.)

Looking forward to it. For now I'll have to break it to my gf that her character won't be having a baby bump. Thanks for looking into it,
I know you don't like working on your Voiced Radio and TV mod, but if you need a voice actor, I'm available sometimes. I have an Australian accent, if that's useful.

It's unusual.

I'll work on finishing Kate remodels and releasing that (also fixing a couple minor issues).

That should fix the bug, probably

@Fed-cap I've been playing with the load order and it doesn't seem to be changing anything.
I started a new game, with only your mod and:
Cheat Menu: Rebirth
Mod Manager (+ Enhanced Load Order, Load Order Sorter)
Cheat Profession
Player Stats

And then fed her on burgers over and over on fast forward. Once she got Overweight, I took off an item of clothing and she spaghettied immediately.

@Zalfir I'd need a link to the mod you mentioned, but that is probably the issue.

I did not use a single mod besides:

Mod Manager
Cheat engine

And this one for the pictures.

If your mod expands the options for female characters, they may either be completely incompatible, or they may need to be loaded in a particular order (Use Mod Manager for this, and test loading first one, then another)

I recommend making a test world with a test character using only Dynamic Body shape, and making the character have the overweight / Obese Trait

Hey bro, I was talking to you on Youtube but Youtube was deleting my comments because they're just weird like that.

So my girlfriend is using your mod and I followed your instructions to the letter to install it. At first she spaghettied immediately after I overwrote the files (she was wondering why nothing was changing except losing her abs) because I didn't overwrite the files at first. So I got her starting a new character, new world, etc.

Soon as she hit overweight with her new character, she spaghettied again.
The only other mod I've installed that might be affecting it is the mod that expands options for female character from the other other mod site (LL).

I can tell by the picture of the girl in the wedding dress that you are familiar with the mod I'm talking about and that these two mods are supposed to work together. She's worried her baby bump will spaghetti her when it appears.

With Build 42 right around the corner, how long do you think it will take to update the player models for the new revealed outfits? I know it depends on a lot of factors, and PZ might have a pre-release version for modders and beta testers. (that any player can opt-in to, seems to be common for indie devs) I'm relieved to see you're still active at least, because a lot of modders can disappear in two years haha. Thanks in advance, this is my favorite mod for the game.

there's something wrong with the arms/feet whenever the character is obese for me, they get all fucked up, muscular and skinny work just not obese

Has the Ra's body mod issue been fixed yet?

ah no worries I meant to reply but the mod this works with "Simple Character Retexture , By Hea" has that option. It was just abit weird behavior with modded clothes lol
