Enhanced Delete Button

Desynced Mod to add delete frame/unit feature

Features
  • Frames and units can be deleted
  • Frames deleted return all materials from construction recipe
  • Units deleted return all materials from production recipe
  • Deleted frames/units drop their components and inventory to the ground
  • Explorables can be deleted (once they're solved)
  • Use DELETE key from keyboard to activate action or click the new button in the UI

Bug Report (following today's update, 6/4/25):
With only this mod enabled, selecting multiple units where at least one has a loaded Behavior component causes the UI this mod's button appears in to mostly disappear (all vanilla and mod buttons are hidden, a tiny empty UI panel remains).

This mod works as expected when right-clicking a single unit, or when selecting multiple units (if none have Behavior components).

There is an (I think new?) button added on that panel for deleting units, but it is not present for ruins which is the main usage for this mod.

Please keep in mind that if the explorable is not completely solved, it cannot be removed. Some explorable buildings are designed in game to keep spawning items/components/units (that's how the game introduced them on the latest patch). These explorable buildings cannot be removed neither

I've tried today "not owned" explorable buildings, and it still works (even new ones from alien faction as monoliths, observers, etc). Please try the last update I've uploaded today. Thanks for the feedback

well, this mod "mostly" works. at least it works for buildings owned my the faction i am playing.
you probably already know, but it does not work on any of the 'explorable' buildings any more.

still, this does help reduce the need for the destructor item. i wish it worked on just basic items.
oh well, i look forward to an update.

Since last update, this mod requires a MAJOR rework. Under maintenance

This mod appears to graphically alter the background if multiple buildings are selected.
Based on the supersized icon displayed, it appears to be the icon of the last item in the row of that specific building. {Multiple buildings with different materials will get different supersized icons.} Seems to do it only with buildings that have item producing units in it {fabricator, assembler}. Does not do it if multiple storage units are selected only.
I can get you a screenshot if you need.

I will consider that option with a checkbox in the options menu. Not by default

It would be great if you could still delete the items on the floor :)
