Cruel Trade Tweaks

Description
Are you tired of becoming a catillionaire within the first two ingame weeks?
I know I am.

Changes
  • Traders will not be happy to buy your junk, nor will they fence your stolen goods for free. You receive significantly less money for looted and stolen items. (50% ---> 10%)

  • Hashish base value lowered and is no longer over-valued in nations that don't outlaw it. Pack up your garru, you're going to need to move bulk to keep up those profits!

  • Beak Thing egg weight increased. They're still valuable, but be careful biting off more than you can chew! (6kg ---> 20kg)

  • Various overvalued loot items have been slightly nerfed to prevent disproportionate profits from pilfering Ancient Labs.

  • Stealing is still overpowered. Sorry...

If you have any suggestions on further ways to increase suffering, please leave a comment with your ideas.

That's awesome! I can't wait to see what you do with it!

Holy eff my dude, I freaking cracked it. I figured out how to replace ground textures that look like they belong, I can't believe no one else has figured this out before. Im going to change the surface of kenshi.

Pardon the lack of the reply, RestartPrince. Busy few days-- those mods sound awesome! I'll make sure to give them a try in the near future.

Oh yeah not sure if I mentiond this, but the mod is specifically made for the player to use the Owning a shop by building the retail counter feature.

the first one is published already i am just working on some small tweaks. The second one I just have change the max money value and salary value. i will eventually make a backpack mod (hopefully soon since I am still trying to get better at the texture system) that compensates for the low inventory size. Although I would prefer to make a mod that utilizes the furnace but for Items. Ultimately I would like to add an Item burning furnace in every town, (possibly player made towns too, if it is wanted) that auto hauls my list of buyers to burn all items in personal inventory not pack mule, except for food and first aid of course, although preventing them from burning their own cloths and weapons im not sure of. Maybe there is a armor and weapon slot filter?.. Maybe you have an idea, I am working at being more familiar with all features, but i already have a ton of info in my brain so not so easy.

Interesting. There's a few modifiers under the global effects that interact with player sell prices for crafted armor and weapons, those may work-- though it may cause lower tier weapons to be severely undervalued.

I'll look into it on my end and test it, though, it'll be some time before I implement anything along those lines.

Let me know if you publish your shopping economy mod, I'd love to test it out!

its a vanilla issue, any weapons you craft that start to reach specialist level seem to have a wierd caculation for the quality and they have a sell price that no npc in the game could ever afford to buy. I think some armor too. I dont know what is responsible for the calculation. If somebody did, there would probably have been a fix for it already, so I dont know how to fix it and keep the game economy at vanilla. I ran into that issue after i made my first mod which was an shopping economy mod in 2021. i am currently working on copying my mod to make a seperate version that is not going to be vanilla so people can afford player crafted items to make it more immersive, but obviously less vanilla since a few people will have enough money to buy them.

@TheRestartPrince
Are you saying that's caused by this mod, or are you saying that's an issue in vanilla?

If it's a vanilla issue, what items in particular are the most problematic, from your experience?
TheRestartPrincess 20 Sep, 2023 @ 9:26am
Plus character crafted items are extremely high in selling price.
