Salisbury Plain Training Area

Size: 9472m^2

The purpose of this map is to provide the majority of the training area in Arma, at a size which is true to the real location.

This map covers a large area of Salisbury Plain Training Area with the woodblocks and open areas which we are sure will be familiar to many of you. The method of generating the terrain is, unfortunately, unkind to built-up areas so these areas are somewhat funky for now. However, if you crank the fog and rain up, it looks just like the real thing. Once we become more familiar with this process, we plan on fixing these areas up manually but for now, my advice would be to enjoy the training area for its intended purpose but this time, from the comfort of your chair instead of in the pissing rain surrounded by sheep.

Please note: This is a good representation of the map but likely not perfect. If you find any major issues, please let us know and we'll have a talk about getting it resolved. However, our focus is going to be on pushing out new content so that there's lots of fresh content, in terms of terrains, coming out for people to use.

This is completely open. Do whatever you want with it. Play with it, edit it etc. Add bits, remove bits, stick it in your modpack. Most importantly, learn from it. Open up the mod and check out how it goes together and enjoy yourself. If you have any questions at all, please come and ask us and we'll be happy to chat and help.

i am having traumatic flash back to weeks sitting in the rain,snow and muck here all we need is a mod that give a sulk animation and some moralibo.
