TRANSLATIONS : ru

A simple mod which currently adds more names to cities for each main culture type to decrease the amount of repeat city names (looking at YOU, Syado-Turr).

In vanilla, there are less than 50 city names for each culture type. This mod increases that number to 54 across the board, with more to come.

I take suggestions in the discussion board (NOT the comments!), so if you've got a name you think would be decent, especially for barbarian and feudal cultures, let me know!

A couple of city names are references to other games. I wasn't sure whether to include them or not, so let me know if they fit in or not. I may remove them depending on the response.

In the future, this may include alternate titles for rulers of each affinity, as well as other name-related features.

You can start from the WWI~WWII period. There are many names of war generals that can be borrowed.
You can also start with the Great Depressions that occurred throughout the world. There are also many economists whose names can be used as inspiration.:steamhappy:

Is there anyway you can make a mod for region names, such as for valleys, mountains, and forests? AOW Planetfall had random region names but this doesn't.

Oh sorry, I've been inactive for a while haven't I.
I might be able to do this, and make some sort of video guide. You'll have to give me some time though, I'm fairly busy nowadays.

There really aren’t many named cities in the original, and a couple of them have to be invented to make it not so dull.

@Aktuarus City names aren't really something that can be machine translated, since machine translations are literal.

For a real life example, Llanfair­pwllgwyngyll­gogery­chwyrn­drobwll­llan­tysilio­gogo­goch literally means "St. Mary's Hollow of the White Hazel Near to the Rapid Whirlpool of Llantysilo of the Red Cave", but one of those is a place name and the other is a sentence.

That said, I'm willing to take human translations of existing names or suggestions for replacement city names in other languages.

Are city names only in English?
If yes, can you translate it into other languages using Google Translate? I guess I'm not the only one who would be happy
