Description
* and ** are mentioned further below

Series 148 (148 Серия)
The asset is based on the late 70s-80s Soviet series no. 148, part of the "Tashkent" or "Uzbek" series of Soviet prefabricated tenements. This particular model is based on the 3 houses located { Google maps [www.google.com]} { Yandex maps [yandex.ru]} at the crossroads of Nukus street (Novo-Poltoratskogo) and Mirabad street, right next to the Gospital'nyy Bazaar.

A bit of History
According to primary sources, the modelled buildings were built in the mid 80s, using prefabricated concrete panels of the 148th series. Upon completion, these tenements were considered luxurious and getting an apartment in these houses was a challenge. One of my dad's acquaintances had received an apartment in this house due to them previously owning a large plot of land in the area which was bulldozed for this microdistrict. The 148 series has uniquely shaped lattices used for guarding small loggia. In this specific plan, the middle of the building is a large staircase and lift area which is ventilated through the aforementioned lattices. Other than loggias, the sides also have "French" balconies guarded by a solid concrete panel.

Despite the collapse of the Soviet Union, improved models of this plan were built/finished in the 90s. There are five located[yandex.ru] along the same Nukus street, behind the building which I based my Proletarskaya 49 asset on. These 5 Series 148 towers were built for the families of the Kengash (Supreme council of Uzbekistan) now renamed to the Oliy Majlis. These later models included larger balconies, and bigger outer loggias, though not having as many floors as the original 3.

Model description and info

The asset includes 3 variations of the building, one of original height (16 floors), and two shorter ones (12 and 9 floors), though only the 16 floor variation was ever built in real life.

*
The building's artifacts can be colored any way you like using the Repaint 1.7.3 mod
Itself the rest of the building will stay white.

**
The asset is VERY big, as the building is extremely detailed (despite common stereotypes about soviet architecture) however this is compensated by the super small LOD model. If you do not wish to use models with this many triangles, I suggest you check out the lower detail version of this asset, which decreases the tri count significantly at the cost of a bit of detail. Though it is not recommended to use this model as a frequent tenement either, as it is meant to be the "landmark" of a microdistrict.

The asset is a residential high, Level 5. The individual buildings can house between 80, 60, 45 people and cost 80,000 60,000 and 45,000 respectively. it has entrances on both the back and front, which can be connected using pedestrian paths.

To use this asset in game, please use the Ploppable RICO Revisited mod. Otherwise, the asset will be a unique building with no function.

@Beha Haha yeah I was getting kinda fed up with the severe lack of any Uzbekistan assets given the rich architectural history of our country, so I decided to take the matter into my own hands. Happy to see that there are other compatriots who appreciate this kind of work :)

Hi, yeah I was planning to either finish the "improved" version of this tower with the larger loggias first, or making the regular sections, I don't know which will come before yet though.

As for the BTS series, I really wanted to make it since it is a unique project, but I am not sure when it will come, as I am not in Tashkent at this time of year. I will probably try and make it before the end of the year at the very least.

Oh, nice, love the series 148. Do you plan to make the regular sectional versions as well? Would love to see some of the Tashkent series BTS-9 as well, if you have time.
