Not soon after the first cs2 trailer dropped I saw YouTube video which was about how Counter-Strike is transitioning into a sport, and how the new promotion images looked like sports magazine promotions. This got me thinking about the idea of a design inspired by sport shoes and other sports wear. Since Counter-Strike is an esport I thought sport themed gun would be a good idea.

The design started off with the name 'Sport', but when trying to design a logo I felt like it was missing something and it was too general. I decided I wanted an animal as the logo of the design, and then it clicked. The logo would be an attacking animal just before it was about to strike, and so the name was changed to 'Strike'.


I'm a big fan of the P90 | Traction and I wanted to achieve a sort of similar look where you could really feel the rubber grip of the weapon you are holding. I also remember seeing seeing sport shoes a long time ago which had these hexagon patterns on them - (to get air in the shoes or somehting idk) - and I thought that could be something cool which would set the design apart from others.

I then started experimenting with putting lines over the weapon, because many of there sport shoe design have lines going everywhere. Then I thought it would be cool to make the bottom of the handle a big knob of rubber like some sports gear have to prevent damage in case they fall.

The colors of the design is something that came natural, I thought blue with yellow looked good so I just stuck with that. But more color variations are planned.


The 'Strike' logo is a modified version of the word 'strike' in the cs2 logo. The bird logo is an eagle which is about to strike. I had the idea of using a different animal for each gun but settled on just the eagle in the end.


I have worked on and off on this since the end of June 2023. When I got access to cs2 in early September I started working towards publishing some of the skins.
