Weapon Pack Extended - Remastered

Description
The return of the oldsoul mod for balanced weapons!

WPE-Remastered adds some new, well-balanced for vanilla weapons.

Unlike the old version (wow, more than 4 years have passed), some of the weapons have been replaced with new ones, and the rest have been brought to the ideal (but can be edited according to user feedback).

And so, the guns:

Smart-cannon:
A variant of the cannon with shells filled with all sorts of electronics to target and destroy the enemy. Yes, more expensive than usual, but believe me, it's worth it! [Possible modifications to break through shields and plasma bolts]

Heavy Cannon:
"A big ship needs big calibers!" - it was this motto that guided the engineers when developing this weapon. The best way to give the enemy BIG problems.

Hookgun:
Is the enemy running away? Not today! The hookgun™ will not give the enemy a chance to slip away.

Diffuser:
Does the enemy have a powerful shield? No problem! The Bureau of Cutting-Edge Developments has found a solution to this problem: the energy dissipator eats shields like a delicious cake (but, alas, it does not even lick the body). [Cases of electric shocks to crews occur due to neglect of safety precautions. Always read the instructions for complex equipment.]

Hive rocket launchers:
What could be better than a missile? That's right - a lot of missiles! Even if these little ones are weak individually, their swarm will not leave the enemy a chance.

I am using both the heavy cannon and the smart-cannon and I can report that the smart-cannon is extremely unreliable at dealing damage, too. I believe it may be the projectile speed causing hit detection issues, but that is only a hunch and I have no solid proof. The smart cannon fails to hit reliably for any target, from asteroids to stations and ships both modded and unmodded, at any speed of the player ship from 0 m/s to 3k+ m/s, and at any range from point-blank to 15km or further. In short, It just does not work.

We plan to make some fixes to the mod next week, but we need more information about where and under what conditions the errors occur.

The "Smart Cannon" and "Hvy Cannon"do no damage => I never used them after I found out.
The "Hookgun" while interesting has a very limited use, as the AI tend to try and kill you first.

The "Difuser" and "Hive" are the gems of this mod and the only two that work as intended.

I guess it is about time for a re-visit, if the creators intend to keep this one alive.

Hello! By the way some of the weapon systems say they do n-amount of damage, but in fact they do nothing. The Smart Cannon is one such system. Could you check what is causing it to malfunction, especially when build by a turret factory?

Ну экипаж есть пилоты есть а во вкладке корабля пушка перечеркнута и в бою не стреляет вовсе.

Хороший вопрос, но стоит расписать подробнее.
Возможно у вас не выполнены требования по экипажу.

Actually, you can change the value "p = ***" with the same result (and then the weapon will not spawn even in the very center), but I had a problem with the turret factory (with a small chance, disabled guns would still appear there like blueprints). So whether to leave these guns only in the very central sector or very rarely in turret factories is your choice.
