That's something I haven't considered but the official help page for codecs didn't help as nothing was disabled as it suggested might be the issue and actually used this which fixed my issue https://help.wallpaperengine.io/en/videos/lav.html#_1-install-lav . I appreciate your help! Not silly at all.

I kmow it's a silly question but are your codecs up to date? Not sure if (or how) it affects Wallpaper engine at all, though.

For some reason I have this issue with others on occasion and I've tried so many things that don't work, but if I do "open in explorer" I can see it just fine when I open it from there to a video player. Really nice wp though

Hard to tell what happened, just tested in another pc and it also works fine there =(
