Without fail, Auraxian forces always sent their forces planetside to finish the job their bombardments started, and ground vehicles proved to be an efficient use of resources in tying them up for as long as possible.

The Sleipnir was designed to capitalise on this as much as possible. Cheap, lightweight, and small, they could be buried in containers and gullies as cheaply and liberally as landmines. Even long after any actual life had been snuffed out, they often continued to trouble Auraxian ground forces for months, buying valuable time to harden and evacuate other planets.

They were scattered in such numbers that even a thousand years later, the Aphinor Republic's efforts to rehabilitate these worlds regularly have to contend with Sleipnirs gone rogue.


Built for CMC-1: Armored Fighting Vehicles. I built the Mjolnir for my actual submission after testing in multiplayer - hit-and-run doesn't work when the other guy can track you at any speed and range and douse you in explosive cannonballs.

In practice, though, this has been far more useful in multiplayer than the Mjolnir - against anyone other than Rekt_Rekt, it turns out hit-and-run with an autocannon is the only real way to deal with sniper tanks.

The suspension was built by gaibort a while ago when I asked what to do about the Alsvidr's garbage suspension. It's been excellent in this new role, and I have since refitted the Alsvidr with it (among other improvements).

Clearers are area superiority craft.
They are often deployed in swarms to uproot enemy forces by drowning them in a sea of metal and fire. Each individual unit is treated as a missile with a gun - they are just as maneuverable, just as lethal, and just as expendable.
