For the last couple of years I've been experimenting and creating projects that push the Source Engine to its limits, or create a new system entirely. Think the motorway out of "Road to Nowhere", the interactivity of the Black Mesa Dormitory or my abandoned Dev map.

I decided to try a new project, one that hopefully brings a far more realistic photo-real approach to the Backrooms Found Footage maps.

This addon contains my own VHS filter overlay that can openly be used by others in their projects or extracted as needed. I have also made a short demo map that shows off the various effects that can be achieved by using my filter.
I've also created a handful of realistic Backrooms style textures and materials that have realistic bumpmapping and reflectivity. Feel free to decompile this addon and extract any of the assets for yourself or your project.

The name of the map is “template_vhs_hh”, it can be found in the “others” tab.

Just make sure to give me credit :)

P.S. Expect further uploads in the coming months showing more groundbreaking projects and features, both finished and unfinished, this is first of many much larger ones. ;)
