A large base once used by combined Naval and Marine Corps efforts to maintain a UEG grasp on the terrorized planet of Cygnus-5, now retrofitted as a depot for vehicle and aircraft to be stored and deployed by local assets in the sector, it holds a vital aspect of daily operations both humanitarian and offensive. There are living spaces and amenities within the base for any who choose to have it as their main station.





Most 'Loyalist' citizens of the Cygnus system have been since evacuated with the immersion of the once thought-exterminated 'Frieden' Rebel Group Cells immerging from below the ice caps and hidden bunkers in plain sight, the few who live here now visit memorials of their fallen family and friends, and the houses they once inhabited, now all within three mega complexes across the cityscape with forestry being setup in vacant spots created by continuous terrorist bombings; it also hosts a recruitment office, electric station powering all lighting and a housing by which the pylons separating roads are controlled to cage-in any offending vehicles.





Constructed upon the arrival of the Moncton-class Orbital Weapon Platform 'Ymir' this Forward Operating Post hosts the Orbital Drop Shock Troopers of this ground sector, whom out from it conduct numerous foot patrols, scouting missions, raids and data collections every day in hopes of gathering more information on the terrorist threat and how to combat it in wake of the Covenant predicted to arrive in the station by 2552. The base is heavily armored being capable of surviving high-content explosives and ordnance otherwise truly acting as a safety bunker if nothing else with a self sufficient mess hall, shower and bathroom area, numerous bunking spaces and SIM Rooms such as the 'Killhouse'. F.O.B 'WELCOMEMAT' is also how one would go to-and-fro the underground VTOL pad, capable of lifting flight-ready pelicans out into the air.





The 'Ymir' is a newly arrived OWP in the Cygnus-Sector following a rise in terrorism and the Covenant threat on the horizon, connected to it is the FFG-358 'Heliosa' which saw several combat operations under command of Lieutenant Junior Grade 'Odin' in the 2530s; known also for its infamous connection to the now rogue Special Actions Group '12' Army Airforce Unit, one of the key targets of the Office of Naval Intelligence and now thought to be harboring in the Cygnus System, likely under the cover of a Frieden Cell. The 'Ymir' hosts two Hangar Bays capable of landing Pelican-Sized Craft, and an Orbital Drop Shock Trooper Pod-Rack ready to dispose of four-pods at a time with a total count of 32 Drop Pods on station. Moving through the door on the right side you enter the commons area, which is where the UNSC's Air Force members conduct daily weapons diagnostics, drone calibrations, flight operations analysis and ready themselves for combat be it in the air, on the ground or in a chair.





This bunker is without a name, for the C.M.A (Colonial Military Administration) do not seek for it to have one, with them being very utilitarian folk. Out of the actions conducted in the 2520-2530s where-in-which the C.M.A was found guilty of conducting several arms trades with the URF (United Rebel Front) they have since fallen out of trust with the UEG and UNSC respectively. However... 2551 is not a time to hold grudges, Humanity is on its last limb and most ODSTs are down below the ground fighting the battle they always prophesized of, as warriors of Hell. With that in mind, the C.M.A acts as a 'Filler' unit for Marine Corps regiments planet-side and as incredible intelligence assets with most Servants of the C.M.A having been two at least two planets in the System and thusly having incredible knowledge of topography, wildlife and other key intel sets for tackling new-found threats. This bunker is a retrofitted tunnel once used for navigation of cars through the large iceberg ranges, now it acts as a home to those in arms, although cramped it is one of the easiest places to hold down with only one way in, one way out.







The ambitions held between Dadaskis and I for this map was to make a complete overhaul of the TFGV5 map catered to the Praetorian Networks community and the Gmod Halo Community alike, for that reason many places that could've been disposed of have been kept and retrofitted, in-total there are hypothetically five-to-six bases that could act as the 'Main Base' of any Servers choice with 3 of those bases housing full roleplay-equipped rooms such as armories, sleeping quarters and much-much more. Through these practices we've achieved a map that will not only help greatly in making Praetorian an even more unique experience, but also hopefully helping other communities or just people who want to explore the map! Because trust me, there's lots to explore.




Many on Cygnus-5 have reported sounds of, beeping throughout rock-grounds and thickets. Some suspect them to be listening beacons for the Office of Naval Intelligence. Others? Think it may be IEDs set up by the terrorists now shadowing this planet. But a very small conspiratorial few believe it may be a gateway, a means of transportation to another land... a 'Backrooms' so to speak beyond the curtains. It is up to you to discover what this map truly has in store.
