Unique Walls and Settlements

Description
This mod adds previously unused textures to carthaginian and egyptian walls, so all cultures get unique walls.

Also includes the following features:
  • fixes roman buildings appearing in non-roman settlements
  • changes slot upgrade logic to follow the settlement's culture, not the building's culture
  • allows speciality buildings in other cultures settlements (roman Arenas in carthaginian cities, Secret Police HQ in greek cities, etc.)
  • fixes a bug causing all smith buildings to always appear as the basic blacksmith
  • edits settlement plans to allow Sewers and the Siege Engineer to appear in eastern settlements and Royal Cavalry Stables in egyptian huge cities.
  • supports large and huge cities for barbarians, also adds a Tavern slot to both. All BI buildings are ported to battlemaps and come with a lot of additional bugfixes (more infos on bugfixes here)

NOTE:
For compatibility with other mods, this mod does not enable stone walls or large and huge cities for barbarian factions in campaign.

I'm not sure what's causing this, but I might have an idea:
There are two files in the mod with file paths (which I changed in order to save a few GB on storage space for the mod), on is data\descr_building_battle\dbb_barbarian_invasion.txt, the other is data\descr_items\di_barbarian_invasion.txt
The second one is related to LODs and the error message you posted looks like the linux version of the game has different file structure than the windows version.
Have a look at the file paths in both of those files and see if your game has those. If not, find out what's the correct file path and change them accordingly.

Hello. I need some help. I'm getting this message if i try this mod on it's own or if i try to implement it on my own personal mod. Can someone help me? I can't paste it so i will simply write it: "c:\tools\cygwin\home\bob\bobbuild\rometw_hd_stable\companies\feral\development\products\rome\source\code\building_db.cpp(4058) :

There are many possible reasons for that crash, my recommendation: make sure you copy ALL the files of this mod in your own mod folder, then only add your own edb file and the ui stuff (building cards and descriptions). Do not change or modify the files of this mod, some of them are different in the remaster and online tutorials for the original rome on these files are mostly outdated

Hello, I'm really sorry to bother again. So I followed the tutorial on the forums, based on this mod's files. Everything went smoothly, and the Barbarian stone walls worked on the battle map too. However, if I were in a Barbarian large/huge city, the game would just crash during the loading process. Is it okay if I ask what could go wrong?

ok thanks a lot, I found it and it's all set

Assign the buildings to barbarian factions in export_descr_buildings, descriptions and building cards can be copied from the barbarian invasion folder.
There are lots of tutorials on how to do these things in detail online, a quick google search should give you step-by-step instructions if you want them.

Thank you for your reply. Is it okay if I may ask how to enable them?

This mod has all the necessary files for the additional buildings from the Barbarian Invasion expansion included, but these buildings are not enabled (to keep it in line with vanilla). This is only useful for other modders to quickly enable them if one wants to do that.

"this mod does not enable stone walls or large and huge cities for barbarian factions in campaign."
what does this mean?

Went in a visited Rome today. I am used to grey texture and this was a sort of orange or brown color wall. More details in the wall as well. very cool.
