Description
Main mechanics
This mutator adds a recharge mechanic to your gear. Getting kills or capturing points will charge your gear. Reaching the required amount for that piece of gear will recharge it giving it an additional use. You'll see a small icon appear alongside a sound queue to signify that something has been recharged. Gear will only recharge if you're carrying less than the maximum it can hold.

Configuration
By default this only works on the vanilla ammo and medical bags, alongside the ones found in Arsenal Overhaul. To add gear to this system, you'll need to add entries to the configuration lines.

The format for configurations is: WeaponName|RechargeRequirement|GearType|GrowthMultiplier.

WeaponName refers to a weapon's weapon entry name. Weapon names are case sensitive and ignore any rich text.

RechargeRequirement refers to how much charge is required for a recharge to trigger.

GearType refers to what sources this gear will gain charge from. Valid types are:
  • Type 0 gains from both kills and capturing flags
  • Type 1 gains only from kills
  • Type 2 gains only from capturing flags

GrowthMultiplier refers to a multiplier used to increase the recharge amount required per successful recharge. This is calculated at the start of a match. For example, a piece of gear with 100 as its required charge and a growth multiplier of 0.1 will have a growth value of 10. For every recharge, the recharge requirement will increase by 10.

This mutator is best used on equipment/gear that cannot be replenished through Scavenger or Resupply Boxes.

have you considered adding a timer option to this? such as if the item isnt full, after x amount of seconds itll add x amount of charge? i imagine thatd probably be more difficult than its worth but itd cool to be able to create 2042 style cooldowns with med boxes and rockets from the workshop i feel personally!

Yeah I'm thinking of how to handle a simple HUD for this. Thinking of waiting for EA27 to release first.

By the way found out this mod is useful for a ammo recharge perk where for example you get 3 kills for each kill if you want to experience that :D

This is a really cool mutator, I like it. I'm just wondering how the HUD situation is on EA26+ and if the mutator would support a mini hud of it's own showing how far a player has recharged their gear. Thank you!

you can combine this with the killstreak mods to add actual scorestreaks into ravenfield
