Prison House

Description
A Storm House with two large prison cells to hold your captives*.

NOTE NOTE NOTE
*The game does not consider NPCs held in these cells as prisoners. So they won't starve nor will any 'is imprisoned' world state trigger. But these are great for keeping sparring mates at hand.

IMPORTANT
Set prison mattresses or floor chains inside the cell to get cage functionality aka prisoner status to your prisoners. Works just like cages. See also known issues AND the disclaimer!

A Decorative Piss Bucket with or without flies (+ no sound option)
A Decorative Water Barrel with ladle (small storage)
A Prison Mattress (cage)
A Floor Chain (cage)
A Prison Crafts Bench (make shackles and handcuffs)
A Prison Cage 2 times the size of the vanilla cage (cage)
Modular prison wall sections for room dividers.

All items are either same as vanilla or very low cost to build.

DISCLAIMER
I have no clue what these interior prison cells do for AI, if you just leave the NPCs hang in your cells without cages or supervision. You have been warned (please report back).

They WILL disappear when the region is unloaded, if they have not been parked in cage like things.

It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you park your prisoners in cages, floor chain or prison mattresses and only allow them to roam free in the cell when you want to spar with them.

KNOWN ISSUES
Be aware when you load a previous save from within a running game, the collisions of the interior doors might vanish. To prevent this restart the game and load the save from the main menu. Or fix it by loading the same save a second time in short succession. This forces the collisions to reload.

You can also refresh the collision by opening and closing the cell doors. Be aware of this, so refresh your doors before you take prisoners out from their cage like parking spots. (If you use these as intended you will naturally open and close the door when going to pick up an inmate anyways).

Unfortunately there is nothing I can do about this, it seems to be an inbuilt mechanism. Why this happens only on previous save loads and not after game launch is anybody's guess.


The prisoner handcuffs use the game mechanics for prisoner shackles. That includes being possible to lock pick, restrict movement and auto-wear. Which results the crafter being imprisoned in the cuffs he made himself. Like above, not much I can do about it, all I could do is to make decorative cuffs without function.

It looks like having shoes equipped might prevent this from happening.


CUSTOM CHARACTERS
This mod adds no new animations, so should work without patches.

IMPORT AND CONFLICTS
No need to import, cannot conflict with anything. This mod does not add animations, dialogue nor anything else that could cause a conflict.

MODDERS
All rights granted, no need to mention me. However if you are gonna make interior rooms like these, remember also do the disclaimer about door collisions on your mod. I have made an instructions article on Kenshi fandom wiki. You can find it by searching with 'interior doors'.

Hi your mod is good but in your house the prisoners break out when I open the entrance door from off they bend through the cells and are gone although I have locked them up

Ive tested the walls vs Doors with NPC's I don't control, I walways seem to get NPC's bothering my Controlled ones by walking through the training area, so I baracaded them in. they wont attack the walls.

so if the "cells" act as walls, they will stand and idle there without hastle. if the walls have doors, they will attempt to pick to door if they have a weapon equipt.

@aertghwerf you must have a corrupted version of the mod. Did you unsub and resub? Cause I have not got mentions from other that this mod's file is corrupted.

This mod corrupted my zone data. I know bc I captured a hiver, put him in a newly build cage at my base and left. Everytime i tried to come back to load the area my base was in, i'd crash. Disabling this mod stopped the crashes :lunar2019deadpanpig:
