Solomon's Temple, also known as the First Temple, is a Temple in Jerusalem believed to have existed between the 10th and 6th centuries BCE. Its presumed existence is largely based on narratives in the Hebrew Bible, in which it was commissioned by biblical King Solomon before being destroyed during the siege of Jerusalem by King Nebuchadnezzar II of the Neo-Babylonian Empire in 587 BCE. Although most modern scholars agree that the First Temple existed on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem by the time of the Babylonian siege, there is significant debate over the date of its construction and the identity of its builder.

Temple of Solomon
Allows the purchasing of Apostles with Faith. Apostles may sacrifice a land resource in cities with both a wonder and a Holy Site to create a Relic and grant +1 Population to that city. Must be built on Hills adjacent to a Holy Site with a Shrine. +3 Great Prophet points 3 Relic slots Unlocked at the Mysticism civic.

This mod requires Gathering Storm and Rise and Fall.

Supports English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and Japanese.

Notes
  • If District Expansion: Spirituality is active, Temple of Solomon can also be built in cities with the Altar building.
  • The sacrifice resource ability is granted by adding a build charge to Apostles to build an "improvement". To activate the sacrifice ability, click on the Apostle to build improvement, and there is a "Sacrifice the resource" button.
  • Some resources cannot be sacrificed in burnt offerings.

About the sacrifice ability : It would be super practical if the apostle could illuminate suitable tiles, like great person does, for example. Without it, it's laborious to know where I can use it ^^ But that’s maybe hard to set up, if even possible…

Anyway, I really like it, thanks !

You need BOTH a wonder and a Holy Site to sacrifice resources.

You cannot sacrifice non-Kosher resources. If you are not using any resource mods, the only land resource you cannot sacrifice is horses.

It would be great to know which resources are unable to be sacrificed and which are (especially if there is no integration with other resource mods). I've built up around this but am finding it harder to find resources to sacrifice than I would like... Very creative idea, but that would be a huge help if possible.

Sorry to bother but I have a problem: I've built an Oracle at my capital and this wonder at another city but even if I create an apostle from my capital the sacrifice ability won't work. It only works if I create an apostle from the city I've built the Temple of Solomon and only for that city's resources. Is this intentional?

Pretty cool, ty for the wonder & compatibility for DE:S. Was wondering if you would consider adding the wall around it and some houses on the outskirts? I googled the ToS and that's kinda what it shows. Also might be a cool idea to add +1 faith to all plantations in that city as it's not a huge bonus, but it's there. Idk up to you ig.
