Hey you! Yes, you!
Ever wanted to carry a horde of silk-spinning monsters on your back? You already have, you say? Well, now you can, but better! With the new respun and re-imagined Silk Satchel, you'll be able to haul around your own personal horde of spiders wherever you go... In style!

So, how does it work?

While the Silk Satchel can be worn on anyone - and looks extremely stylish regardless of who wears it - Webber can evoke his own cluster of spiders by simply right-clicking on the Satchel. They can be recalled back at any time by simply right-clicking on it again, ready to be summoned wherever you may need them!

Unlike the previous iteration of the Silk Satchel, the amount of spiders spawned are now based on a point-buy system, rather than a spider-type capacity. Spiders are also now locked behind Switcherdoodle acquisition rather than satchel tier, allowing you to obtain every spider at every tier, provided you have the knowledge.
Lastly, certain spider types will have a higher likelihood to spawn based on your location, enabling you to collect a diverse cast of creepy-crawlies depending on where you choose to spawn your spiders.

The Silk Satchel will perish within 10 in-game days or 80 real-life minutes at all tiers. To prevent this you can simply leave the Satchel on the ground for it to slowly regain its freshness. The spiders also decided to sell their soul in exchange for some passable manners... They no longer eat food left on the floor, however they also don't drop any mod-loot upon death. Lastly, evoked spiders will linger around and continue to take orders provided Webber remains in close proximity to the Satchel. They're a little skittish without their leader, and will hide if he gets too far away!

Oh and, after a long wait (and ample requests) we finally have config options for The Silk Satchel! You can change:
  • The spider spawn rate (Defaulted to one spider every 30 seconds)
  • The biome spawn bonus
  • The points capacity for all three tiers (Independently!)
  • The cost and rarity to spawn each individual spider

I'll consider seeing if I can pester ADM again at some point if he'd want to return to do a round of bugfixes and compatibility tweaks, though the man is very busy and working on other mods from what I understand
Please get back and make it better, and update it would you please work with uncompromising model and island adventure model kinds of spiders?

if a spider get caught in a rabbit trap or given switcherdoodle it becomes bug will not return to satchel and if killed drops loot an the satchel it self dose not spawn it back in

Yeah somebody prior to you has also had this issue. Unfortunately this is most likely the final version of this mod as ADM - The kind soul who coded this version of the Silk Satchel - has since moved onto other projects and most likely won't be returning to this one. I've encountered this once myself but it's only happened the once, every other time it's worked fine, so I don't think it's a persistent bug

of course now that ive said that its stopped working not intentionally, and regulars spawn as intended

further testing the whole regular spider thing and setting them to "can't spawn" seems to spawn them as frequently as "likely" (same number of regulars as warriors) so setting it to that makes it work as intended

it really likes regular spiders for some reason (to the point that they frequently spawn even when disabled)
