Description
Tacticool scoped RPK (AK with elongated barrel and bipod) from CoD: Modern Warfare 2

The heavy-barreled LSW variant of the insanely popular Soviet rifle, typically issued with extended 40-rounders or 75-round drums, but can still be fed any other magazines compatible with the AKs. Some models are fitted with folding stocks for better mobility (S), some with night scope mounts (N), and some with both. After the fall of the Soviet Union, Russia has discarded the fancy plum furniture in favour of the more familiar black, similarly to what happened to the AK-74M and other Soviet armament.

Replaces the "Military Sniper Rifle" (model and reloading sounds)

A long time ago I attached the tan scope to the MW2 AK and considered releasing this for the sniper rifle slot(s). But then I did a similar thing with the MW3 model (and some BO2 furniture) and the Marxman remained an unreleased experiment. Much later I decided to do what MW2 devs did when they realized they have eleven assault rifles and a grand total of three machine guns. Just like they elongated the barrels of the L85 and the AUG, I tried making an RPK out of the AK model by making the barrel longer, adding bipods from an RPD, and even gluing the same M240 carry handle they stuck on the converted guns. But I already have several similar RPK mods, so I dropped it as well. This mod is yet another case of two not-cool-enoughs making a release that with combined assets actually has something going for it. In addition, the handguard has two extra rail covers, like on the model Prisoner 627 points at Roach in the gulag (I replaced one cover with a BO2 laser sight, however). The models of this addon are actually made of the view model (that has missing surfaces because optimization) and the unique gulag prop model has has more details that the regular world model, but slightly less than the view model. Initially I wanted to label it as "Voroshilov Marksman Rifle", but that's a bit overkill and not many of you know who Klim Voroshilov is anyway and why a sharpshooter award and a tank series named after him. Bet more of you are familiar with Karl Marx.

There's likely to be a hard limit on how many weapon variations the game can store. It is allegedly the reason why the AK-74u was in MW3's campaign and spec ops mode, but cut from multiplayer despite having a Create-a-Class icon. In theory, one could sacrifice an attachment variant to put more guns into the game, but it's something to think thoroughly about.

If you remove the Heartbeat Sensor, the Ninja Perk becomes completely irrelevant until its Pro version is unlocked. I would probably cut Akimbo and Rapid Fire attachments as they completely change the gun's balance, but then I would end up redesigning everything anyway.

One of the problems of MW2, and IW4X by extension, is how the weapons are coded. Every attachment combination is technically a separate weapon (this is why certain attachments give the weapon unusual buffs/nerfs, such as the FAL with a Holographic Sight having higher minimal damage, or the AK-47 in CoD4 with a Red Dot having lower).

The new guns they have added have a rather limited set of attachments, if at all: the M40A3, Dragunov, and the Peacekeeper have no attachments, the AK-74u only gets the ACOG and Extended Mags (meaning there's four AKSU variants: naked, with ACOG, with Xmags, with both ACOG and Xmags), while the AK-47 Classic actually gets all of its classic attachments in addition to Bling support.

The MW2 Dragunov actually has all the attachments in its models, meaning it's almost complete and ready to be turned into a full-fledged sniper rifle complete with camos, but IW4X's game modification is not as extensive as to bring additional challenges for its new weapons.

Maybe it's the updated origin where the scope does not protrude through the middle of the screen.

Снайперский РПК.... о, ладно... Жаль тут не стоит какой-нибудь из старых прицелов, по типу Каштана или приспособленного ПСО
