If you're good enough at improv you should be fine, really there's like a month of time that the guide spends simply watching every possible movie once for no benefit, and collecting all of the room decorations. If you understand what you're doing and find yourself falling behind a little as a result of not romancing somebody, just plan accordingly and make up for it in place of a movie watching around December or January or something. This isn't infallible, but if act carefully you should be fine.
