Description
To activate this mission, you must complete a covert action called
Find the Advent Spy




The only other mod really required is highlander because this mission was built with it. The other mods are for handling a squad size larger than 6.




Update December 21st, 2023

  • The followers in a pod will no longer scale up to match the player’s force level. Player will now be overwhelmed with quanity instead of quantity and quality
  • On mission success, bleeding out units would return to the player. They are now captured.
  • The timer no longer scales depending on how many troops you send out.
  • Modified intel and supply rewards to have a higher minimum and supplies now have a slightly lower maximum.
  • Increased the strength of the duo resistance troops that would spawn from M2 => M3




Your team will be tasked with sending in troops to defend an area for x amount of turns and extract with an item. Enemies will spawn on every turn. You will not be able to extract until the timer runs out. If you lose possession, the timer will continue but you risk failure if not recovered and extracted.
You can send in a max of 10 soldiers. However, you can go into the ini file and change that number to be whatever you want.
Many rewards are given so this is a high risk, high reward mission.
If you send in more than 6 troops, the timer, resistance troops, and number of maximum allowed enemies on the map increases. The amount of rewards given also increase. The game will show the rewards for sending in more than 6 even if you only send 6 or less.

AI changes
In XComAI.ini, changes were made so the enemy AI will move to your position. However, a side effect is that this makes it happen on all missions.
You can change this by going into the ini file and commenting all the lines by adding a semicolon in front.
If you only want the AI change for this mission, you will have to go in and change that file every time.

I do not know if this mod will work with whatever mods you have installed or want to install. I have a bunch of mods installed on my game and it didn't cause any problems. Feel free to try it with whatever mods you are running and comment if it causes a problem or not.

@Beat Intense mission. I play Covert Infiltration, and by the time I have a squad able to do this mission my barracks is at or near capacity. It comes up often as a covert action , but it is unlikely I can do it more than once in a campaign.

I tried that, it just crashes after the first turn of the countdown. Will just disable the Request Evac mod until its done.

No, I did not account for this. If you're using console commands you can use the skipAI command and just skip their turns until evac is ready.

Heya, WOTC and yeah there is one mod I found that might conflict - Request Evac - which delays the evac timer. I thought it worked before in a previous KIO op but evidently not now.

Any console commands I can use to force an end?

Are you on LWOTC or WOTC? Do you have any other mods that are influencing the mission somehow i.e. more enemies per pod etc. How many troops are you sending? If LWOTC, WaldoTheRanger has a write up in the comments detailing some workarounds to try and force compatibility.

Heya, I'm getting a weird bug when playing this Operation. I've been managing to survive until the General spawns and skyranger can be called in again and I have to wait 2 turns for it to arrive once deployed, but I'm getting crashes the following turn (after I deploy the Skyranger), every time I play. I've tried killing the general, killing all advent, and using console commands, but without the mission codes I can't skip the waiting period.

IDK what to do now, any help? I'd rather not abandon the mission but at the minute it looks like I'll have to just not play the mission at all (fortunately I made a geoscape save just before it)
