*UPDATE* This guide is now a Legacy Guide, meaning it's no longer being updated, however the infomation here will still be useful for a lot of players, so please keep reading, but be aware somethings might have changed since this was updated, there are no plans to update this guide due to constant Steam errors.

Help you might want

Some of the commendations featured in this guide are quite annoying, even for more exerpeinced players, so it might be wise to look for some help! Here are some places I have used to help get some of those annoying Commendations!

The Official Sea Of Thieves Discord Channel:[discord.gg]the perfect place to start, home to hundreds of thousands of players, you're bound to find someone or a group wanting to hunt the same Commendation you do!

Alliance Servers can be quite helpful getting some rather grindy and annoying commendations out of the way, and while I understand Alliance Servers are pretty controversial and some people might see this as cheating, I do understand where you're coming from, however these communities do fall under Rare's "tools to use" for players to use and not get punished, and not all Commendations are available to do in these servers due to how ships are set up and the rules admins enforce.

Hunter's Calling:[discord.gg]is a community discord group that focuses on all Hunters Call Commendations, the server is filled with friendly players all ready to fish and just have a good ol'time!

Unlike Alliance Servers and other Community Discord groups,Hunters Calling takes place in a normal game, and when fishing and can be attacked anytime, however personally on my final mad push for Legendary Hunter Of The Sea Of Thieves for about a week, we only encountered around 4 ships, and only 2 of them were hostile, as most people don't attack fishing ships, since chances are there's nothing to gain other than fish.
This server is a must have for those wanting Legendary Hunter Of The Sea Of Thieves Commendation or just Hunters Call Reputation.
Sailor of the Gold Horizon/Sailor of the Whispering Bones/Sailor of the Merchant Alliance/Sailor of Athena's Fortune

Objective: Sail for 1000 Nautical Miles while having an active Gold Hoarder/Order Of Souls/Merchant Alliance/Athena Voyage on your Captain's Table.

Difficulty: Easy just grindy

Always ensure that you or someone on your crew has voyages in your inventory, or make sure your Captain has a decent stack of Captain Voyages in their inventory, and no matter what you're doing, whether it be Emissary Work, going Reapers or doing a Tall Tale, always make sure you and your crew have placed and voted to have a Voyage down on the Captain's Table, as no matter what, you're going to be sailing and racking up miles.

Avoid leaving the boat when it's on the move whenever you can as this Commendation only counts while you're sailing on the boat while the corresponding voyage is up.

If you keep doing this, you will notice as you play the game, your Nautical Miles will be shooting up, just remember to ALWAYS put one down before you start sailing.
Golden Voyager/Voyager of Lost Souls/ Merchant Voyager

Objective: Complete 250 Gold Hoarder/Order Of Souls/Merchant Voyages

Difficulty: Easy just grindy

The quickest way to completing these is by being on a Captained Ship, and having the Captain be a high enough level to buy the lowest form of Captain Voyages for the Emissary you want to do, these are the equivalent of a brand new player's voyages, so they're super quick and easy to do, get a fat stack of these voyages and sail around finishing them.
Hoarder of Barnacled Gold

Objective: Sell 300 Shipwrecked Chests to the Gold Hoarders

Difficulty: Easy just grindy

Shipwrecked Chests or Barnacle Chests they're also known as, can be mostly found in Shipwrecks, rarely on shorelines on some islands, as a rare dig from Quest Board Treasure Maps and sometimes as a loot drop from a Skeleton Ship.

You want to hunt down Skeleton Ships and Shipwrecks as these are the second best methods, Shipwrecks often have at least one Shipwreck Chest in them, while Skeleton Ships are nearly guaranteed to have at least one onboard.

If you see a Skeleton Fleet world event, go and do it as this is easily the best method to get Shipwrecked Chests, all of the ships can drop one or even multiple Shipwrecked Chests, plus not many people do Skeleton Fleets despite their decent payout and how much fun they are.

When you do get a Shipwrecked Chest, remember to sell them to the Gold Hoarders or The Sovereigns ONLY, this Commendation counter will not go up if you sell these chests to the Reapers.

Also as a note, Skeleton Captain Chests do not count as Shipwrecked Chests, Shipwreck chests are just the regular Gold Hoarder Treasure Chests you can find throughout the world but with Barnacles on them.
Hoarder of Grog Soaked Gold/Hoarder of Treasured Tears

Objective: Sell 100 Chests of a Thousand Grogs/Chests of Sorrow to the Gold Hoarders.

Difficulty: Easy for Pirate Legends, medium for everyone else, as these chests are quite rare to come across.

Both of these chests can be found in the same way...
  • Chance to dig up from X Marks the Spot Maps received from Quests or Voyages
  • Chance to dig up from X Marks the Spot Maps received from Emergent Skeleton Captain Skeleton's Orders Quests
  • Chance to find hidden on Islands, excluding Outposts, Seaposts and Forts
  • Chance to find beached above or below the shorelines of Islands, excluding Outposts, Seaposts and Forts
  • Chance to find inside sunken Shipwrecks on the seas
  • Chance to find among Barrels of Plenty floating on the open Seas
  • Chance to find on Skeleton Ships
  • Chance to find inside completed Skeleton Fort Vaults
  • Possible reward for defeating a Kraken tentacle
  • Possible reward for defeating a Megalodon
However the best way to find these are from Shipwrecks, Dig Voyages or quests you have found and from Skeleton Ships.

A special mention is that in the Pirate's Life Tall Tale "The Sunken Pearl", there's a special Chest of Sorrows called the Chest Of Everlasting Sorrows that is a guaranteed treasure to spawn during the Tall Tale in the Sliver Blade Shipwreck, when sold to The Gold Hoarders, it will still count towards the "Hoarder of Treasured Tears" Commendation like a normal Chest Of Sorrows.

Remember that these chests are cursed and will do the following effects.

Chest of a Thousand Grogs: Whenever someone carries it, they will become drunk and struggle to move normally until the chest is removed.

Chest of Sorrow: Randomly the chest will start crying, and cause the ship to be flooded, so you will need to have someone on bucket duty to remove the water, or take the Chest of the ship so you can do what you need to do on an island you're visiting.

Chest of Everlasting Sorrow: If you decide to get this chest during the "The Sunken Pearl" Tall Tale, just remember that it will always cry and will never stop, so you or someone needs to be on constant bucketing duty or you will sink fast.

HOWEVER if you're a Pirate Legend, you'll have access to the voyage "A Legendary Search for Cursed Treasure" where all the digs will result either in Rage, Grog, Sorrow Chests, as well as a rare chance for a Chest Of Legends!

Remember not to sell these chests to the Reapers as they will not count towards to their respective Commendations.
Reaper's Bones Reaped/Gold Hoarders Outshined/Order of Souls Shamed/Merchant Alliance Ransacked/Athena's Fortune Dishonoured

Objective: Sell 5 Grade 5 Reaper/Gold Hoarder/ Order of Souls/Merchant Alliance/Athena's Fortune Emissary Flags to the Reapers as a Reaper Emissary

Difficulty: Easy to hard, depending how tough the enemies are and how good/bad your luck is.

Despite saying you need to sell as a Reaper Emissary, you don't need to be a Reaper Emissary to actually OBTAIN the flags, only when you want to sell them, so if you want to lay low and catch people off guard and remain hidden, you can avoid raising a Reaper Emissary Flag yourself until you're ready to sell.

If you decide to remain as a Non-Reaper Emissary, hop from server to server either via Portal Hopping or leaving and joining games, and look at the Emissary Tables at any Outpost to see who is doing what, then just sail around to find them.
Just remember to raise the Reaper Emissary Flag before you sell any flags, at the Reaper's Hideout, the Emissary Table is right infront of The Servant Of The Flame.

If you're a Reaper, reach Grade 5, hunt all over your server for Emissaries and if you run out, use the Portal Hopping trick to get a new server and find Emissary Ships on your ship's map, and go straight after them asap, make sure you're quick as Higher Level Emissary Ships are more jumpy and will be ready to flee or fight if they spot you.
Hunter of the Great Maw/Hunter of the Monstrous Beast

Objective: Deliver 50 Pieces of Cooked Megalodon/Kraken to the Hunters Call.

Difficulty: Medium, depends on your luck.

While you can obtain the meat from killing their respective NPCs, you can also find their meat not only in Shipwrecks, but also Barrels found randomly in the ocean, if you're passing by either of these on your boat, jump over board and investigate, you can get a lot of Megladon or Kraken meat if you're lucky!
Hunter of Treacherous Plunder

Objective: Deliver 50 Pieces of Treacherous Plunder to the Hunter's Call

Difficulty: Hard, with the hardest part being your endurance to farm this

The best way to farm Treacherous Plunder is by going to The Shores Of Gold, activate the Tall Tale and go the island, nearby the island's Shipwreck is a small hill, go to the top of the hill and you will find a small pond with some rocks, stand on one of the rocks and find the perfect spot, you want to start fishing, but when you "catch a fish" it should despawn due to the lack of space, all you need to do is wait, keep moving once and a while and kill skeletons, and you should get some Treacherous Plunder soon!
Just remember that Treacherous Plunder is very rare, so this won't be a 10 minute job, be prepared to farm for hours to finish this one.

The Hunters Calling Discord group always has players looking to do this one, so hop on there if you want to get this annoying Commendation done!
Captain of The Killer Whale

Objective: Purchase all 7 parts of The Killer Whale Ship set.

Difficulty: Easy just grindy.

You need to reach level 50 with the Hunters Call to buy all the ship parts, and while selling fish and cooked meat to the Hunters Call is original method to gain reputation with them, if you don't want to fish, the Hunters Call also take not only Treasure Chests, but also Mermaid and Siren Gems, and most importantly Breaths Of The Sea.

You want to go to any Siren Vault or Treasury and complete them, gather up all the Siren Gems any chests that can carry and send them back to the surface via the Mermaid Statues, in addition while sailing, hop from island to island to find any Coral Bottles and get a Breath Of The Sea to spawn, as they will bring in a lot of EXP to the Hunters Call, especially on Gold and Glory Weekends.

Also doing Thieves Haven runs as a Pirate Legend also often gets you a lot of Mermaid Gems as rewards, so if you want to hunt do them, you can also hunt specific Athena Loot too such as the Kegs or Athena Skulls to sell for their respective Commendations too!

After reaching level 50, all you got to do now is buy all the Ship parts at any Seaport!
Legendary Hunter of the Sea of Thieves

Objective: Earn 57 Grade 5 Hunter's Call Commendations.

Difficulty: Hard, you're gonna need some endurance big time!

Unless you have a friend group who wants to fully dedicate their time to helping you get this, join The Hunters Calling Discord group, seriously getting this Commendation takes such a long time, you might as well since those people want to specifically hunt for fish and will ignore nearly everything else.

But just as a warning, even with the group, you still will be grinding for a long time, on a day where I was focusing purely on Stormfish and nothing else, plus having some bad luck, it took me 11 and a half hours to 100% Stormfish, I spent nearly the entire day fishing for them, so don't expect to join this group and get this Commendation done within a few hours.
Legendary Thief

Objective: Sell 5 Chests of Legends to the Mysterious Stranger that were stolen.

Difficulty: Medium.

Keep an eye out for Athena Emissaries in your server either by looking at the Athena Emissary Table in any Tavern, Legend Of The Veil Storms, active Fort Of Fortunes of Fort Of The Dammed, you can either then tuck somewhere nearby and wait for someone to touch the chest when they finished their respective objectives, and then go and steal it sneakily when the cost is clear and come in guns blazing if you're spotted, or do what I do and skip the sneaking part and go in guns blazing.

Most experienced ships with an Athena Chest on it will be jumpy, so don't be surprised if you're caught early if you're trying to steal it quietly.

Also remember to ensure that THEY touched the Chest before you have as it won't be counted as stolen!
Veil Seeker

Objective: Complete 100 Legend of the Veil Voyages.

Difficulty: Easy just grindy.

Veil Voyages on their own are quite easy, all you need to do is ensure you have plenty of supplies for the finale and incase other players come to ruin your fun since Veil Voyages can attract a lot players due to the Chest Of Legends at the end.
You only need to collect the Veil Stones to continue the Voyage, so if you don't care for most of the loot, you can just ignore them and go grab the stone straight away.

All the other Veil Commendations will be completed while you're going this Commendation, so you don't need to worry about farming them specifically, unless your luck is genuinely horrible, but you shouldn't need to do that.
Seeker of Grand Adventure

Objective: Compelete all 9 of the original Tall Tales and their respective Commendations.

Difficulty: Easy but grindy

There are plenty of guides online showing you how to complete all of the Tall Tale Commendations, however there is a trick to completing them quickly 5 times, to do this you need a friend.

When you're about to finish any of the first 8 Tall Tales, have your friend leave, while you finish the Tall Tale, when it's done, they should rejoin and they will then have the ability to put down the Tall Tale again on the Captain's Table due to the game saving them a checkpoint, repeat this until you have done the Commendation, then swap turns so they can finish the Commendation too.

Sadly this can't be done with the final Tall Tale as easy, as the only checkpoint the Tall Tale has starts you halfway through the Tall Tale, if you and a friend want to do this, I just suggest doing it from the start, plus sailing back and fourth from Morrows to the Shores Of Gold can rack up some extra miles for the aforementioned Nautical Mile Commendations, plus Megladons seem to like attacking ships that have been in the Shores Of Gold for a while (might be a coincidence, but everytime me and my friend left the area to start the Tall Tale again, we always got a Megladon to spawn, might be luck idk)
Legend of Cursed Iron

Objective: Destroy 200 skeletons or phantoms affected by any Cursed Cannonball.

Difficulty: Easy

Get a friend, collect as many Green Curse Cannonballs as possible, grab as many Order Of Souls voyages and Captain Voyages as possible, activate a Voyage and then go to the Island where the Skeletons are at, park your boat nearby where they are or nearby a beach, have you or your friend go and round the up all the Skeletons and bring them to the boat, use a Green Curse Cannonball to curse the skeletons, and then kill them either with cannonballs or any other weapon of your choice.
Legendary Cursed Voyager

Objective: Complete 30 Voyages while flying the Reaper's Mark.

Difficulty: Very Easy

At any Outpost, go onto your ship and put up The Reaper's Mark Flag, speak to Larinna and grab a Ashen Chest Voyage, vote for it, complete it, sell the chest, and repeat until you have the Commendation completed.
Legendary Gunpowder Plot

Objective: Destroy 5 Skeletons at the same time by Shooting a Gunpowder Skeleton on an active Skeleton Fort; while at least 1 other Crew is on the Island at the same time. (20 times)

Difficulty: Medium

This one on paper sounds easy enough, the issue is convincing another player from another crew to help you, since you can only do this at regular Skeleton Forts and Fort Of Fortunes (Fort Of The Damned has been buggy for myself so I would recommend avoiding that) and with the former not paying much for most players and the latter paying so much that people will betray alliances for it, it's hard to do.
Plus Forts might be Keg Wave Spam or normal waves, the former is quite rare to come by where numerous Skeletons spawn with Kegs to the point you can just do the Fort in under 5 minutes.

Best way to get this done legit normally is hoping you manage to convince someone at a normal Skeleton Fort to do this with, and even then hope they don't die and go to the ferry when you're about to kill a bunch of them or have them stealing a bunch of kills/progress from you by blowing the Kegs up themselves.
Hunter of The Shrouded Ghost

Objective: Defeated The Shrouded Ghost Megladon in a chance encounter.

Difficulty: Extremally Hard

It's all about luck, there's no way to spawn one, it will show up when it shows up, it might be tomorrow it spawns, it might be next year it spawns, when it does it does, and there's no way to increase your chances sadly.
Legendary Hunter Of The Shrouded Ghost

Objective: Defeated The Shrouded Ghost Megladon in a chance encounter 5 times as a Pirate Legend.

Difficulty: Nearly impossible.

??? what do you want me to put here? It's just like the regular version of the Commendation but even harder to accomplish! You're gonna need extreme luck to get this one, seriously, it never gets any better or easier, and if you think it does... well...
Banisher of the Spectral Flame/United Against the Flame

Objective:Defeat the Burning Blade 10 times/Defeat the Burning Blade whilst in an Alliance.

Difficulty: Medium

To have a chance to find the Burning Blade, you need to be Level 75 with the Order Of Souls and get lucky on a Ghost Crew Voyage, on the final wave, instead of the regular Ghost Captain, you will fight The Burning Blade, which has more ships following it and has Ashen Captain Ships patrolling the island as well, the Burning Blade can take more damage then the Ghost Captain Ship, and the extra ships also give it more protection with them taking hits and firing their cannons, be careful as unprepared crews can get smashed.

Alliance members don't need to actually help to take out The Burning Blade, as long as you're in an Alliance, everyone who is in that Alliance will automatically get this Commendation when The Burning Blade is defeated, you could be on the other side of the map while an ally takes out The Burning Blade and it will still count for you!

The Burning Blade used to be apart of a World Event, however the World Event is now retired and cannot be done anymore sadly due to conflicts with the Lore and the World Event caused with each other,, so if anyone who claims it can be done by World Event are wrong, this is the only way to encounter The Burning Blade these days sadly.

Unleash the Damned

Objective: Hit another Crew's Ship with a Wraith Cannonball, 25 times

Difficulty: Medium

These cannonballs can only be found in a special cannonball crate when you defeat The Burning Blade on a Ghost Crew Voyage, so you need to be level 75 to have a chance to encounter The Burning Blade on the final wave.
When defeated, the special Cannonball Crate will drop with all the other loot, Wraith Cannonballs are the rarest and most powerful Cannonball in the game, doing similar damage to a ship as a Gunpowder Barrel, so they're a must have for PvP enjoyers, however you only get a small amount from each crate compared to other Cannonballs.

This Commendation also counts if you hit Skeleton Ships and even your own ship from an Island or Rowboat Cannon.
However unlike most Commendations, these only count to you and you only, so if you and a crew member both want this Commendation, you either have to take turns, or quickly steal all the Wraith Balls so they don't get them!
Legend of The Sea of Thieves

Objective: Defeat 500 Skeleton Ships as a Pirate Legend

Difficulty: Easy or Medium, it's very grindy and groups of Skeleton Galleons can mess any crew up!

500 Skeleton Ships is a lot, especially as a fresh Pirate Legend as none of the ones you sank before counted, however sinking them is still a great way to earn some rare loot, so sail around hunting for Skeleton Ships and get them as soon as you can, you can earn rewards such as the Shipwrecked Chests and Cursed Chests.
Skeleton Fleets are guaranteed to give you 6 Skeleton Ships, which depending on your ship and lucky, can be mostly sloops with 1 or 2 Galleons, or mostly Galleons with 1 or 2 Sloops, however you're guaranteed to fight at least one Galleon as they will be the Captain Ship.

Also while in an Alliance, whenever an ally sinks a Skeleton Ship, it will be counted towards this Commendation too, so if you're in an Alliance Server or just a normal game with some friendly ships, this Commendation will be counting in the background while you're doing your own thing, while your allies deal with Skeleton Ships they have encountered with.
Athena's Livery/Legends Through and Through

Objective: Represent the Athena's Fortune through your ship's appearance while sailing as an Emissary/As Emissaries, fully represent the Athena's Fortune through your crew and your ship's appearance.

Difficulty: Very easy to do, but can take a long time to set up

This is here as it's so poorly worded and confused so many players, so here is the checklist of what you need to do to earn these.

  • Raise an Athena Emissary Flag
  • Equip the Athena Emissary Costume, and if you're in a crew, everyone has to wear this
  • Equip all Pirate Legend Ship Parts

And that's it, sadly some of the Ship Parts you need are locked behind some very grindy Commendations such as Legend Of The Sea Of Thieves or Sailor of Athena's Fortune.

This will not work with the Ghost Ship Set or with the Pirate Legend Clothing, it has to be the Pirate Legend Ship set and the Athena Emissary Costume, yes it's dumb I know, but that's how Rare designed it and we have to deal with it.

If you have a friend that has all of the ship parts already, all you need to do is equip the costume and you can earn these Commendations too.
Bone Haul Bandit

Objective: Deliver 10 stolen Rag and Bone Crates to their respective Seaposts.

Difficulty: Very Hard

On paper, this sounds like a super easy Commendation to complete, but trust me, it isn't, because of 2 main reasons.

  1. This treasure is very rare, only encountered as a reward from Dig Voyages from Skeleton Captains and Lords from active Skeleton Forts and Forts Of Fortune, as well as being a very rare find on random islands and beaches.

  2. Their payout only being 5 Doubloons at base and Commendations tied to them, so nearly no one goes out of their way to sell them.

Finding a Rag and Bone Crate on a ship of any type is rarer then finding a Chest Of Legends, your best bet is to come across a new player crew that has found one and has 0 clue what to do with it and steal it from them, as most experienced crews just ignore them.
Or if you're in an alliance, have an allied crew member dig it up and pick it up first, as it will counted as stolen, then you're able to sell it and get progress for this commendation.
Due to how bad these crates pay, nearly anyone is more then happy to give them away.

DON'T SELL THESE TO REAPERS! You must deliver these to their respective Sea Ports to count towards not only this Commendation but other ones too!
Conquering the Damned

Objective: Clear the Fort of the Damned of all enemies, 50 times.

Difficulty: Medium or Hard (Depending how you set it up)

Setting up a Fort Of The Dammed can be the hard part, but this can change depending if you have access to a certain voyage or not you need to earn all 6 Flames Of Fate and store them onto your ship, white dieing to lightning, blue dieing from a shark attacks, red for fire, pink dieing to a player, green dieing to a skeleton, and purple from poison.
Then you need a ritual skull, which can be found from digs from a Skeleton Captain Voyage on small islands, as a random drop from Skeleton Ships, and Larinna sells a voyage to dig up a Ritual Skull for some doubloons.

HOWEVER! If you're a Pirate Legend, you can buy a Skull Of Destiny Voyage from the Pirate Lord or Captaincy Voyage Shop from the Shipwright, which acts like a Ritual Skull while also providing ALL 6 FLAMES!

When you have everything you need to start the fort, there are 6 statues waiting to be lit with their corresponding flame, and when all is lit, a caged skeleton's door will open, waiting for a Ritual Skull or Skull Of Destiny to be placed where it's head used to be, the Fort is now active and a Giant Black Skull with Red Eyes will appear above the Fort,

Then you need to get to the boss, the fights are easy as they're normal shadow skeletons but they needed to be lit with the corresponding colour to be vulnerable to damage.
On the final wave, you need to fight the boss, as long as you damaged the boss, the Commendation should count no matter what happens to you.

Speaking of which, Fort Of The Damned attracts players as it's the only World Event spawned by players and offers some really good loot, so be careful as many eyes will be watching you.

On Alliance Servers, there are people ALWAYS doing Fort Of The Damned, and because of this the queue times can take a while, you might be waiting hours to get a spot sadly.
The Legend of Glitterbeard

Objective: Read Glitterbeard's Journal hidden in a special cave at Plunder Valley

Difficulty: Hard

You need 8 players to do this Commendation, so you'll have to find random players to do this Commendation with, when you have 8 players or more, all of you head to Plunder Valley towards a special tree covered in jars, and also has 8 spots for 1 person to stand in which all corresponds to the points of a compass, you want the people in the North/South using the Hurdy Gurdy, East/West using the Banjo, South West/North East using the Drum, and South East/North West using the Concertina.

Make sure you all have the song "Becalmed" as your selected song to ensure no one makes a mistake, and then after the sun sets, you have about 30 seconds to start playing, make sure everyone REMAINS in their spot and never stops playing until the cave entrance opens, don't do anything but play the song until the cave opens, I would talk about what happens more, but this event is so special and magical, it needs to be seen by yourself, it's easily the best thing you can do in Sea Of Thieves, it's truly a magical moment no other game can even close to replicating.

If something goes wrong, you'll have to wait until after sun sets again next day to try again.
Captain of Ashen Bones

Objective: Set fire to 100 Skeletons with the Ashen Winds Skull

Difficulty: Very Easy

Ashen Wind Skulls are a treasure dropped by Ashen Lords or as rare digs at Fort Of Fortunes, it acts like a Flamethrower, dealing damage and can run out of ammo, the more ammo you use, the less gold you earn when you sell it.
The Ashen Winds Skull does A LOT of damage to NPCs, killing most skeletons within seconds, if you don't mind losing gold, use these while at a Fort Of Fortune when dug up, for fast Skeleton killing and heavy damage to Skeleton Lords.

If you just got this from a normal Ashen Lord, the best thing to do is to find a Skeleton Galleon, board it and pretend you're playing Doom, move around and blast all the Skeletons with the Skull's fire.
Warsmith of the Flame

Objective: Set fire to 10 Skeleton Ships with the Ashen Winds Skull

Dfficulty: Easy

You can board Skeleton Ships and aim anywhere to have an easier time setting them on fire, or you can do a driveby with the Ashen Winds Skull with your ship to set the Skeleton Ship on fire, however the second option can be a bit glitchy due to hit registration, so I suggest doing the first personally.
The Fallen Sea Dog

Objective: Uncover the truth and learned the tragic fate of the Sea Dog, DeMarco.

Difficulty: Hard

This is a secret Commendation you can't find unless you unlock it, to do this you need to go across several locations in the game using Lesedi's Spyglass and standing in special spots while playing the 'Ballad Of The Mer’ shanty.

Due to how complex this Commendation is, look online on Raretheif or YouTube for more information, this Commendation alone would make a guide itself and already has been done, this is mostly here you make those aware that this Commendation still exists and can be earned at anytime.

No problem, it was pretty good timing on your end, I'm currently rewording, reworking and updating some old guides when I have some time, so might as well throw a request in there, especially if it was for a guide I was already working on at the time.

Thanks for throwin it there

Update 2 (Part Two)

Reworded about Alliance Servers being helpful and removed certain links.

I myself personally do not care about players using Alliance Servers at all, however I am heavily against Toxic Behaviour towards other players regardless of who they are, and the one I used here as an example in the past, and all mention of it has been removed entirely including past comments due to the extreme toxicity the members have been seen online spouting at players "who are rouge" and even been caught cheating in the game several times to the point where you can genuinely question Rare's Stance and in addition the Admin/Owner's Stance on the cheaters, meanwhile genuinely innocent Players are banned for the most pettiest of reasons.

I make fun of Alliance Server Players like anyone else, but don't care if you actually use it or not unlike some people, it's only banter until you start acting like a d*** for real.

Update 1

A new guide has been released! "Dealing With Cheaters In Sea Of Thieves" it can be found in the "Thanks for reading" section!
