EMD E8: Chicago North Western

In 1950, the Chicago and North Western Railway would order their first E8 locomotives from EMD, eventually operating over 30. These sturdy locomotives were the passenger workhorses of the CNW, running commuter and inter-city routes northwest of Chicago, to cities like Minneapolis and Milwaukee, and towns like Duluth, Menominee, and Green Bay.

Despite numbering locomotives with A and B, the CNW hardly operated any B units, the numbering scheme was meant for locomotives operating in pairs, however they rarely operated together, and the whole A and B system was dropped during rebuilds where their steam generators were replaced with head end power.

This is actually my first attempt at skinning anything for a game! It may not be perfect, but I poured hours into research, matching fonts and getting details correct. I have included several skins, representing the large variation of E8s operated by CNW.
