Civilizations Expanded Lite

Description
Overview
Is the original mod Civilizations Expanded too much for you?

Now introducing Civilizations Expanded: Lite Version, a much lighter rebalancing mod that preserves the spirit of most of the developers' original design elements, but still introduces buffs and interesting twists!

The goal is to preserve the general balance of the game while respecting simple but elegant Civ designs.

Civilization and Leader Changes
Please see the attached screenshots above for descriptions.

General Gameplay Changes
There are NO general gameplay changes that are unrelated to Civs.

In the original mod, all Civs could work mountain tiles, the Nobel Prize was decoupled from Sweden, etc. None of these changes are in this mod, in favor of allowing players to find use other smaller mods to customize their experience.

Required DLC
The following DLC are REQUIRED to use Civilizations Expanded:
  • Australia
  • Aztec
  • Indonesia + Khmer
  • Macedon + Persia
  • Nubia
  • Poland
  • Rise & Fall
  • Gathering Storm
The New Frontier DLC is optional but is fully supported.

Mod Compatibility
This mod is FULLY compatible with:
  • Steel and Thunder
  • Warfare Expanded
  • Sui Generis
  • All modded civilizations and leaders. This mods civs are no longer extremely strong compared to most modded civs!
  • All other mods (except those listed below)
A note regarding Steel & Thunder and Warfare Expanded:
If either mod is active, the conflicting unit changes from my mod will be blocked, ensuring full compatibility. However, the unique unit's text will still reflect my mod. This does NOT affect game play or compatibility, so don't worry.
This mod is NOT compatible with the original Civilizations Expanded.

Companion Mods
The Civilizations Expanded mod collection contains other mods that I've designed specifically to work with Civilizations Expanded.

Current mods in this collection are:
Gold Deflation, a mod that makes Gold less abundant and therefore more relevant.
Extended Eras, a game pacing mod that slows the game down and improves the balance of research costs.

Special Thanks
Special thanks to Amondin, ChimpanG, Chrisy15, DarthKyofu, Digihuman, DuskJockey, Firaxis, JFD, JanBoruta, SailorCat, SeelingCat, Sukritact, thecrazyscotsman, and View619 for help and support on the original Civilizations Expanded mod.

Some of my ideas were adapted and modified with permission from the excellent reworks of Sukritact (Sumer, Khmer) and Leugi (Aztec, Gran Colombia). For the Maya, I adopted ideas from Enigma and Relic's Mayan mod.

India's faith burst from constructing building seems not working

Yeah I tried a quick match with only this one activated

I can't start the game. I'm getting an error. I think platinum edition players can't play this even though the mod doesn't state it has new dependencies

"There are NO general gameplay changes that are unrelated to Civs".

Except that there are. There are new policy cards (Harvest Calendar and Early Exploration, for example) and at least one civ (that I found - Nzinga) with one extra Economic Policy slot.

These changes are not present in the Google Sheets linked in the original mod's page.

Just what I was looking for -- Germany losing that military policy card was a deal breaker in the regular version. This one works great!

@pOkiehl thank you for updating your mod. I know its a lot of work. I genuinely haven't wanted to play Civ without your mod.

Hi p0kiehl,
your mod has been translated by Phyrax into German and the translation is now part of the German translations for Civilization VI mods mod pack.
We would be more than happy if you could refer to the language translation in your mod description.
