Kastrenzo Alive Orbat set

Description
I spent a lot of time making this to play with, and realized I might as well share it.

This is a custom ALIVE Orbat faction collection aimed at bumping up some Chernarus themed factions to contemporary styles. They are meant to be used alongside RHS And other modules. Namely the 3CB Factions set and excellent Green Sea Batallion equipment set made and used by the clan of the same name.

While not a requirement, this orbat set was meant to be played with ACE, The Chernarussian NLAW doesn't function as intended when it's the vanilla PCML.

If you think you suffer from OCD like me, there's an alternate version linked in my collection up top, where CDF and NAPA speak Czech instead of Russian.


Chernarus '22 adds a number of "ArmaVerse" factions that have been updated to reflect a more contemporary setting for the world we live in today.

Chernarussian Defence Forces
*BLUFOR*
Takes the original concept of the Army of Chernarus, and requips it with new gear , weapons and vehicles to put them on a better footing with their agressive neighbors and Separatist pawns
- Troops wear indigenous Chernarussian 2019 Camo pattern uniforms, use a mixture of Soviet and NATO weaponry
- Vehicles come in either a green/black scheme, or a green/tan splinter pattern on modernized vehicles
- Full suite of Army ground units and Aviation, and limited Special Forces units and a Subfaction of International Volunteers

National Party of Chernarus Paramilitary
*BLUFOR*
Takes the concept of the NAPA Guerillas in a "what if" scenario where in a time of crisis, the group evolves into a government allied paramilitary group
- Troops wear a mixture of indigenous Chernarussian commercially available camo patterns and some provided by the Government, They use a mixture of Soviet and Western weaponry
- Vehicles are olive with Black iconography
- Infantry and light vehicle focused faction, posesses support weapons and a small selection of delapitated Soviet era armor

Zagorian People's Republic
*OPFOR*
Tries to provide an "in-between" of the Traditional Chedaki Insurgents, and conventional Russian Army. Result borders on a standing army, with clear irregular influence
- Troops wear Russian EMR camo on generally older gear, use Soviet and Russian weaponry
- Vehicles come in the traditional Chedaki Green with red accents
- Full suite of Ground units and limited Aviation, also includes a subfaction of Pro-Russian Takistani militant volunteers.

Russian Ground Forces & Russian Airborne Forces

A simple "cleaning" of the RHS AFRF Faction into something a little more uniform and practical
- Combines Motor Rifles, Tank, Artillery, Anti-Air, Rocket Artillery into one consistent faction, VDV is kept separate to avoid overlap.
- Also standardizes equipment so that they only wear EMR, and entirely use late 2010s "Ratnik" equipment.

Grozovian Armed Forces

Grozovia was a mentioned-only country in the Green Sea region way back in ArmA II, This was simply made for fun. This is a conventional army of a neutral neighbor seeking to protect its borders from the conflict in Chernarus
-Troops wear Russian Flora Camo, use older Russian gear, and have a mixture of Soviet, and Western weaponry
- Vehicles come in either olive green, or green/tan/black.
- Full suite of Ground Units and Aviation.



Within reason, I dont mind making more factions for fun, but they have to meet 3 requirements
- Isn't already done better by a pre-existing mod like RHS or 3CB
- Makes sense for the setting. I focus specifically on the ArmA II Fictional Post-Soviet Green sea region and translating it into a contemporary 2020s setting.
- Doesn't require bloating the mod dependencies, I wont add 1GB of files from some mod unless it has a pile of assets that meet the other two requirements. By proxy this disqualifies anything from CUP as that's like a minimum 10GB commitment,


Known Issues & Notices


-A number of tanks and other 3-man vehicles will spawn with the commander as the wrong unit, you can get around this problem by either changing init commands, or spawning the vehicle empty in zeus/eden and sending units into it, this is a bug with RHS and Orbat, nothing i can do about it
-A bunch of Trucks and Turrets in the Independent faction have the wrong crew spawning by default, Will fix this later but its a minor issue, just spawn them empty in editor, and drag a unit into it for now
-Some units may not fire their launchers. If you notice this please let me know, odds are I will have to delete the unit as I dont know how to fix this behaivor, its an AI thing.
