Flipped Buildings

In 1 collection by MARH
MARH's mod

Description
This mod adds flipped Storm Buildings.
Flipped Buildings are simple mirror images of vanilla buildings, but they are the buildings I have been wanting for 2 years.

There are 14 Flipped Buildings:
 Small Shack
 Storm House
 Storm House (Lagoon)
 Bughouse
 Y-house
 L-House
 L-House (Lagoon)
 Longhouse
 Snailhouse
 Snailhouse (Lagoon)
 Stephouse
 Stationhouse
 Watchtower
 Broken Watchtower

You can unlock Flipped Buildings by researching the same techs that unlock their vanilla counterparts.
(Small House, Medium Building shell, Large Building shell)
After research, they will appear in the "BUILDINGS - Flipped" category of the building menu.

There is no need to import.
Please ensure that you have dismantled the flipped buildings completely before you delete this mod.

UPDATE August 12
Icon fix
--------------------------------------------

For cleaning interiors → Dustless Interior
Turning floor into grid → Floor Grid for Flipped Buildings
More turret nodes → Extra Node for Flipped Buildings
--------------------------------------------

=CAUTION=
Flipped Buildings use homemade collisions.
Characters may go through walls and doors as often as in the vanilla game.
I haven't had fatal problems - unsolvable character stuck, loading failure, save corruption - so far.
But I strongly recommend that you build Flipped Buildings on level terrain.

If the flipped versions do not appear on your building menu when you finish their unlock research, please try this mod→ Flipped Buildings Research Change
It replaces the required research on all flipped buildings with a new, independent one.

=Known Issue=
Sometimes a part of the floor of L-House or Lagoon L-house becomes impassable.
The cause of this problem is unknown at the moment, but you can resolve this issue by rebuilding in a different location or angle.

Characters don't detect the door of L-house (Flipped) and Bughouse (Flipped) under construction.
If your engineers don't start constructing L-house (Flipped) and Bughouse (Flipped), open its door manually from the building state window (bottom left of the screen).

-NOTE-
This mod does not affect vanilla buildings.
And other mods do not affect the buildings from this mod.

It will be good to have two more versions of the longhouse with door on the opposite side of the building.

PS: sometimes even open world floor becomes impassable, even open areas like ashlands with nothing at all that would block the path... This issue only makes the mod fell even more vanilla-like LOL

Awesome, all I need is a mirrored Snailhouse to better complete my wall, I don't even plan to use it , just cover a weird rock that wont allow me to build actual walls... This is so much more, thanks a bunch bro!!! this should've been vanilla all along....

That may or may not have something to do with your issue, just thought I'd throw it out there.

And when I say "build over" I don't mean that a piece of the rock is sticking through the bridge, barring passage, I mean graphically the bridge (for example) will more than clear the rock, but there is some sort of invisible piece preventing you from progressing any further along it's length.

Also, I have noticed, in reference to your quote:
"Sometimes a part of the floor of L-House or Lagoon L-house becomes impassable.
The cause of this problem is unknown at the moment, but you can resolve this issue by rebuilding in a different location or angle."

Some buildings, (bridges, platforms, etc.) Will have areas that won't be passable, if you build over things in the terrain like, rocks, trees, and other detritus. Also, if you use a bridge above, sometimes it will cause a building below, if said building crosses the thresh-hold of the bridge (they don't actually need to touch one another, just be overlapping) to do the same thing.

These are just a couple things I've noticed recently, pertaining to what you said above.
